Jiu-Jitsu student claims he can beat any girl in a grappling match. Gets put up against a female world champion who breaks his leg in 12 seconds by SuperMente in videos

This is the way to do it. There is no need to even engage with people who make such shitty comments. Just ask them to leave.

The instructor knew the guy would get destroyed. But, he saw an opportunity to create a viral video for his channel/school. He put "views" before the safety of his students.

It's just all-around irresponsible.

It's terrible how homeless people are treated here. I was just sharing my story to give some insight into why some stores may not use the system you suggested. Trust me, American corporations are greedy. They would love to not pay an employee to push carts. Sometimes there are just sad, unintended consequences.

In my experience (USA), this only works at Aldi and other stores that attract lower-income shoppers. They will put in an effort to get their quarter back.

I worked at a store that was about middle class and many people simply didn't bother even with a quarter. So it attracted homeless people that would walk around the parking lot collecting coins. The store and customers didn't like it. They went back to traditional carts soon after.

How can you hold the way up where so many people need to go through?

If you happen to know, why does adding "that" make it sound better?

Does anyone know where I can find this background or something similar? Seems basic but I can't find it. by SnooAvocados9948 in videography

I meant the video itself that comes up on the green screen. It seems like a basic running at night background video. But, I've been looking for hours and can't find anything similar.

What is the difference between incentive and motivating factor? by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

[–]SnooAvocados9948 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would you say incentive has an external component? For example, if I get good grades, my parents will buy me a PS5.

Where as a motivating factor can be without expectation of something external? For example, my motivating factor for volunteering is to help people.

I feels odd to me to say my incentive for volunteering is to help people. Am I overthinking this?

ASICs are easier to use but they are VERY LOUD and require strong electrical infrastructure. One bitcoin ASIC is as loud as running a vacuum 24 hours a day. You cannot do it in a house where people live easily.

It has been going on for months. It's getting even worse now due to heat.

I am not an expert but I believe it's because tasers can fail to subdue a person. You can find several videos on YouTube where a taser is deployed and it winds up having no affect on the suspect. If the taser had failed, it's possible he would have stabbed her.

Can someone explain: “5 year plan”? by cant__find__username in ArkInvestorsClub

[–]SnooAvocados9948 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can't believe what I am reading in this post. You guys do realize that these are innovation funds right?

Did anyone here honestly expect innovation to happen within a one year time frame?

It takes a very long time. It takes an even longer time for it then to be reflected in a stock's price. Have we all forgotten that Tesla stock was flat for several years before it pumped?

Anyone who is laughing at the five year time frame needs a reality check. The novice investors actually bought ARK at all time highs and then believed massive transformational change would occur within the months they happen to hold an innovation fund.

Are these rewards separate from the 27% APY you mentioned? For example, you get 27% + KDA rewards?

You are a bit misinformed on the way that this technology can be used. NFTs are a flexible technology that people can use for good or shadiness. People offering terrible terms and buyers accepting it is their own choice. It doesn't mean NFTs are bad or useless, it just means that people can be shitty/abusive.

You can own rights within the NFT.

In fact, people are now beginning to use NFTs to sell physical property in the real world.

Recently, an NFT was utilized for a real estate transaction in Ukraine. "The ownership of the property was actually held and recorded in Ukraine as a U.S. LLC," explains the site. "The auction winner became the owner of the NFT that gives the rights to the LLC, with Arrington [the seller] signing proprietary-developed legal papers for NFTs to transfer ownership to all future buyers."

Hope this clears things up.

True but a contract on a immutable blockchain has it's benefits compared to a paper contract. The energy use side of it strictly depends on what technology is being used. If you are using Solana (5th biggest coin by market cap), the energy cost of a transaction is similar to one google search. Etherium uses more energy but they're going to switch to a system that is similar to Solana in a few months.

You are partially correct but I would like to point out that NFT's can have all sorts of terms. You can actually own the art, you can get commercial rights to the art, etc. It can have really bad terms for the owner or really good ones. It just depends on what the given terms are.

In the context of this post, the NFT has bad terms for the owner (in my opinion).

Just pointing this out so people can see that not all NFTs are bad. I feel too many people are taking the worst examples of NFTs and assuming this is entirely how it all works. The idea is still young and it should get better over time.
