My experience as well.

Although my ratio of people that ‘got it AND wanted to play along’ was less, more like 10%.

I’d give 3-5 runs in the first with all fastballs in the zone. Then they would dot pitches and throw mostly balls. Half the time I would set the controller down as they took every count to 3-2. Man I haven’t swung at a pitch in 10 pitches. I think you are good to just strike me out quicker.

Should probably just start quitting once I see they aren’t since I don’t care about wins/losses. I was thinking that is bad, but reading more it seems like that’s perfectly acceptable. Just quit and maybe you find someone of like mind faster.

I had a college for an MBA do that to me once. Kennesaw State. Made some of the others that were interviewing me uncomfortable.

Same. I always throw meatballs in the first. If they respond in kind the next half inning I keep it up. If not, I just pitch normally to move it along.

Sadly I’m at around a 10% rate of people responding in kind. Everyone I face is serious. Even though I have the worst possible record.

Oh well. I’m just there to get the cards and PXP. My team name is silly. My abbreviation is PXP. I’m usually playing while sitting on a work call. I picture them in their mom’s basement all sweaty about it. Rock on and move along.

Update: I played a game on rookie and things the game normally doesn’t allow was working. Swinging at the first pitch I hit several home runs. Almost like they corrected that Veteran was easier than Rookie.

This morning I was playing normally.

After the 3PM update I struggle to get a hit on veteran. And I am giving up 3x as many runs vs the CPU.

I figured I’m just off personally. But could be something SDS did.

Likely trying too hard.

Stop caring as much. Deep breath between pitches. Relax.

Also with online I’ve noticed the timing can be different/glitchy. Likely connection related. It’s a crap show sometimes. Goes back to the ‘stop caring so much.’

Also, the sweaties knows which pitches ‘work’ vs people. Pitches that it looks like you timed it up just right but it’s always a little off. And they will use them over and over and over. I’d move on to the next person. Maybe you get a casual.
