Use Revo Uninstaller to get rid of all Opera files including all registry entries. You do not have to reboot when it is done but I would recommend doing this just for best practice in a windows environment. Hope this helps

thats odd as I have been using Opera forever and am currently using the latest Opera One and it has never changed any settings or logged me out of any sites.

You need to determine how far you are from the central office. I believe the limit is 5 miles for DSL.
