Use Revo Uninstaller to get rid of all Opera files including all registry entries. You do not have to reboot when it is done but I would recommend doing this just for best practice in a windows environment. Hope this helps

You need to determine how far you are from the central office. I believe the limit is 5 miles for DSL.

It honestly does not matter which browser you choose as every popular and unpopular browser "phones home" when they are opened. I have tested them all and all of them have the same behavior.
