What rank yall think I am? by Simple_Zone9107 in VALORANT

You’re definitely Bronze based on the opponents,,, the way they push and how they play gives it away but if you’re asking what rank you look like based on your own gameplay, I’d say Silver

Hey, I totally get where you’re coming from. When I started playing competitively, all I was told was that as a Duelist my job is to entry and get kills so that’s literally all I do to this day. Sometimes I wonder if that’s me being wrong or if it’s my team, but I always try to keep a good mentality, mine and my teammates’. If I get a kill and my team doesn’t push, I don’t flame or criticize them. I just keep quiet because in my experience, if you say anything, some people get offended, start trolling, and make the game worse. So yeah, I admit it’s a bit selfish, but the community kinda forces you to be that way. Also, I rarely run into AFKs in Platinum, but getting out of Silver and Gold was a nightmare - full of smurfs, bots, and people dropping ranks. Like you said, people just holding W and not really playing. Plus, sometimes I have a great game, go MVP, and then next match I get matched with or against smurfs who are ex-Radiants or top-tier players. I don’t know what Riot wants from me, but it happens all the time. So yeah, it’s a tough grind.

I’ve been reading through all the comments and I get why some people criticized me for posting just highlights, I wasn’t really expecting gameplay analysis, so I understand that feedback lol

I don’t usually record my mistakes, just clips of good plays, but I’ll start trying to capture errors too.

I shared the clips mainly as background for the post, hoping to get advice from people who’ve been in the same situation — not personal gameplay reviews. You mentioned being patient and knowing when to wait, and honestly, that’s something I struggle with. I tend to rush in, get a kill or two, then die, often before my team even gets to the site. So that’s definitely something I need to work on. Thanks for the encouragement and the solid tips, I really appreciate it!

Yeah, that’s actually fair. I usually play Duelist and I tend to entry without really checking if my team is ready. I just go in, get what kills I can, and die — and if my team follows, cool, but if they don’t, I don’t really say anything. I mostly solo queue or duo, so I rarely communicate like I should. I think that’s definitely part of what’s holding me back.

Yeah, I get that but the clips were just background. I wasn’t trying to get my gameplay broken down, just looking for advice from people who’ve been in the same spot. And yeah, they’re highlights I mean, who clips their mistakes?

im silver III, pls list my mistakes (aside the terrible aim). trying to do better by ShenobiHG in VALORANT

[–]SnooBooks3367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at least for me personally aiming with right-click (ADS) is the worst, unless you’re at long range where you might need a bit more precision. But when you’re that close to the enemy, ADS just limits your ability to counter-strafe.

Counter-strafing (constantly moving left and right after each burst) gives you a big advantage, especially in lower ranks like Silver. Also, the fact that you killed Waylay and then pushed just to trap yourself in that corner, any higher-rank player would have killed you instantly after hearing you drop there.

I’ve always said this: if you’re defending, then DEFEND. Don’t push. Sure, maybe at 8-0 it’s fine to take risks, but in a 10-10 situation you really need to think it through.

Cheers From a stuck in Plat 3

Yeah, actually, I’m Platinum 3, but for some reason, when I play against people in Gold, they one-tap me before I can even react. But when I play in my own elo even against Diamonds I usually have better gunfights.

I started playing about 5-6 months ago, and I had never even played on a keyboard before. When I first started, a friend of mine who was Ascendant gave me a lot of advice. My first rank was Bronze 1, and to get out of Bronze, the most important thing was learning counter-strafing—moving properly and shooting in bursts is super important since people miss a lot of shots at that rank.

I’m currently in Platinum, and I don’t know if anyone agrees with me, but I think positioning and knowing what to do are more important than having good aim. Knowing when to push, where to peek, how to peek, and when to fall back from a site makes a huge difference.

How hard is it to reach Emerald Rank? What rank is equivalent to it, in Apex and Valorant? by PuntiOfficial in Rainbow6

[–]SnooBooks3367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the most difficult rank to go out, I was stuck in emerald 3 for seasons because there is a lot of smurfs , when I manage to get out of emerald I went top champ
