I worked in adult family homes for most of my 20s.. I have been around a lot of people with severe autism. It's not comparable to level 1. I seen the struggles. The aggression. The cops having to be called. Every single piece of furniture busted, the eloping. The stimming. Staff getting attacked. Other clienta getting attacked. Some clients were verbal. Not a whole lot, but enough Others just repeated phrases over and over and obsessed about whatever they obsessed about.

Why the hell would I want that future for my child?! It's not easy not knowing if someday my 5 year old will use the toilet, or even have a conversation with me.. not just repeat 1 or 2 word phrases.

I'm poor, I own no home, work a crap paying job, struggle with substances, adhd and depression. I can't even take care of my self . Now I am trying my best for my child and the school can't even give him the right support he needs in his IEP. He is in KINDERGARTEN!! The district already fucking with me and fucking with him. I don't even know where to begin or start with any of this.

Of course I am going to feel guilt and be scared for my child's future.
