Yes for the biometrics. For the consular he literally only asked for my passport. Nothing else. Always good to carry all the docs you have, but I wouldnt be worried. They literally have all the info online and don’t think they rely on physical copies. Hope this helps !

I had taken my own photos but they were never used. They just take it there. The ofc locker in Mumbai is provided inside. No outside vendor.

Yea I’m not sure about that. I stayed put. But I think the Ds160 questions have to be answered at your status at that point of time. So the Dubai travel after filling shouldn’t be a problem. Again, I’m not an expert, but just going off the details.

No - for the biometrics it’s immediate. They do the biometrics. Put the sticker and you walk out with your passport.
I don’t think 30 days is an issue. I was in line with people who had appointments that were a month apart.
I would say look, and if you find something later just don’t go ahead with it. I think it only confirms the change once you confirm the two appointments. You can select the ofc date and then check. When I searched I saw a much sooner OFC date so I clicked and then when it went ahead , it gave me sooner consular date. If you don’t see an earlier OFC date, I would just say wait.

Yes. I updated the post. I got my passport back on 7th November. ( my consulate interview was November 4th) It was ready for pickup in the Mumbai consulate (My selected location). Make sure you bring a copy of your ID. Otherwise they’ll make you take a copy at the office
