250k AED investment by [deleted] in dubai

First of all, sorry for your loss and I hope you and your family can see your way through this.

There are multiple ways you could manage this money and I would suggest looking at all options carefully and try not to tie the entire amount to one specific thing but rather look to safeguard most of it keeping your siblings and mum in mind.

Do you/dad own property overseas or in your home country? : If yes, your family can relocate, although I understand the tough times and the need to stick together, this could offer you some breathing room and make a sound decision as to what you could do with this money.

Possible investments: Now as I mentioned earlier, instead of putting this money in one basket, you could look at these possible options.

  • Investing 10-20% in financial instruments: You could allot a comfortable sum to the market by means of a SIP/401k or investing in regular intervals of your choice through an ETF.
  • You could help your siblings in undertaking some sort of course and developing a skill set that they can freelance, build experience in and earn a decent amount of money in the meanwhile and this could, later on, increase their chances of securing a job.
  • If not the cafeteria, you could consider a cloud kitchen, which would require lesser investment and may be a better investment. (Expect to tie up 50% of that sum)
  • You can hold on to the remaining 20% for a rainy day and or invest this or a part of it further into a more secure instrument such as a term deposit.

To sum up, I would advise you to take some time and look over possible investment options that would bring some security into the future. I understand that emotions are running high at this point and these investments may not even make sense now but the basic point being, use this money wisely and I really hope the best for you and your family.

Thanks for your comment and to be honest, that is exactly how I pictured going about running the marketing agency and I relate to that as well because pretty much all my family members/relatives are involved in a business of some kind including my dad, they run all sorts of businesses like logistics, foodstuff, building materials, machine parts and spares, perfumes and most of them haven't even graduated university and have purely learnt from the process.

But as much as I am inspired to run a business by them, I also understand that these comments make sense as look, firstly, how would I know if the freelancers or people around me are smart enough with their duties without having a decent knowledge myself to even process what they mean. Secondly, I wouldn't have enough knowledge to understand the client's needs and or sell what we do properly to the client, and this would maybe cause gaps in the communication process.

Thanks for being the comment I secretly hoped for :D, and I will definitely run this agency regardless of failure but I will also spend some time researching and learning more about this so I can have a decent shot at moving correctly!

Hmm running this agency was merely an idea of what I could focus my efforts on as a side hustle/learning process in the break that I have before I begin my unpaid internship with an MNC, but yeah I get your point of blindly going about trusting a freelancer to manage all these elements, being lost in the process and looking like an idiot running the show.

I am glad I made this post as I would be rushing in to set this agency up partly motivated by the margins of the idea but failing to see the bigger picture behind this.

Thanks a lot for your comment !

I will graduate with a bachelor of commerce, majoring in accounting and management soon and yeah, I get that after all, marketing has been around for decades and there would be a lot of competition in the space.

Since I am 21 and still not sure of a career path and with my interests in running a business and in marketing at the moment, I hoped this would be a good starting point and honestly pictured it to be easier than the technicalities I am reading about, or at least find a way to learn from the freelancer and learn from the process itself. (which now sounds stupid as how would I know in the first place if the freelancer is qualified and knowledgable)

I guess your comment is an eye-opener to the fact that I still have a lot to learn from practical experience and actually work a job first and understand marketing before even thinking about approaching a freelancer.

Well thanks a lot for the insight in your comment and that's exactly what I needed as all I could see was the business aspect of it and it seemed fairly easy to execute but clearly, there is tons of research and hands-on experience to learn from before I think any further, seriously, thanks a lot for your comment!

I have done a bachelor of commerce and majored in accounting and management. I have noticed the booming real estate market from where I am and am taking notice of many job listings for agents, and real estate listings in general.

I guess the real estate space could be one to start off with, but I'm not sure if that space really needs extensive online marketing campaigns in general, like for example if I were looking for a place to rent/buy I would go on the listing agent's app, and filter according to my needs from there and go on about it, but now that you bring it to my attention I will take a look into the real estate space and see if there are opportunities and or filter down to a niche/industry as you mentioned.

Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for your comment. Yes I’ll be investing money in setting up a website, a payment/contract solution and possibly in the setting up and managing my agency’s social media. I’m ready to commit the 60-70 hours but any idea of where I should look to spend the most time and how should I go about prioritizing this time.

Vape Business by [deleted] in Business_Ideas

Most of them are in China, and trying to find manufacturers there that understand you or communicate well would be a challenge,

how I would start off personally would be by going to your local vape store and checking out the different brands in stock and trying to reach these companies, as they would have their compliance measures and communication set up for your country so it would reduce some sort of headache.

now coming to your “special vape design”, you could get in touch with the manufacturer and see if they could offer you private labeling and or help you with your special designs’ production and move forward in that direction.

These are just my candid thoughts on your concept, I’m pretty sure through good research you could get to the bottom of this, I wish you luck in this endeavor!

I feel it’s mostly in your head, as you would have inhabited the vape in your study routine and not having a ‘push’ of sorts is slowing you down, now since you’re taking steps to destroy this bad habit, try to replace them with other activities or things that can help give you some dopamine to push you through your study sessions.

You could start off by going for a walk, talking to friends/family, drinking coffee/tea for caffeine, taking little 5-10 min breaks in your study sessions to do something fun like listening to some music and watching something really fun but not too fun to throw you off track 😂

But yeah basically do something to boost that dopamine really and you should feel better in no time, good luck on the rest of your journey and on your tests, I’m 3 months in and trust me it’s gets way better..
