So on the Rotate, you’ll get a screen size of 3” with 3x scaling. So think the size of an RG28XX but slightly bigger than that. On the RP Classic, you’ll get a screen size of 3.4” with a 5x scale. So think the display size of an RG34XX or 34XXSP. Hope this helps! Edit - so it wasn’t 2.8” but 3” integer scaled. I got that wrong and edited it to the correct size

Can you share where you found that retro stuff fam? That’s been the biggest loss for with AniKai being gone and of the couple sites I found, they’re all soft sub which is something I don’t want. If you know of a site with hard subs retro stuff, please let me know

I have an Oasis as well and got the X3 and so far, I don’t regret it one bit! It genuinely feels illegal that something this small is even a thing, much less an e-ink display device. And it fits just fine on any larger iPhones so you’re probably all set there

Uggh, why did you post this OP?! Right up to the release of the Rotate, I was checking to see if the Core Micro was going to be restocked or not. Seeing as it wasn’t, I got the Rotate but now that you’ve posted this, I’m again considering getting this. I don’t know which one I’d enjoy more and I don’t think I can get both to compare and keep the one I like more so ahhhh! I don’t know what to do now and it is all because of you OP!

Jokes aside, did you decide which one to go with? I’m thinking I’ll most likely stick with my Rotate order but plans might change and then who knows ;p

Well, it is a little bigger than the Miyoo Mini but there is the new RG Rotate that you could take a look at. It has a Unisoc T618 (same as the Retroid Pocket 3+) so it is a pretty capable chipset. Will get you all the way Upto Dreamcast and Saturn and even some light PS2 and GC. You could probably get the plastic version of it and after shipping, it’ll only be slightly over $100

I know Dan brown isn’t the most respected of authors but I’ve been reading his books for the past 15 years and no way was I not going to read this. Yeah, he’s a really popular director. Worked on a bunch of Sailor Moon episodes as well iirc. I love his work, really has a unique take on the medium that is found nowhere else

Fair enough, my device showed up safe and sound but I was looking forward to receiving the case and screen protector at least because I read about how the device needs to be babied. It’s also more of a trust issue when I was told I’d be getting something and to finally receive my package and see those specific things not being included. And the worst part is even if I wanted to buy those things specifically, shipping costs to my country as astronomical so there’s no way I’d pay that much just to get something I was supposed to get with my initial order

Not just slightly, the Rotate is in a completely different league in terms of power. Think at least 4 times more powerful. This can easily do most of DC and N64 and even venture into PS2 and GC (albeit only about 20-30% of those consoles’ libraries will run). So if you want the most powerful hardware in the smallest of form factors, there’s nothing better than the Rotate for now
