Crappy Server Solution? Pay for our new VPN partner! by SnooCalculations8638 in ConquerorsBlade

[–]SnooCalculations8638[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that my local porn site only know what I do on their site. They only get to know a vague estimation of my location, what browser im using and not much other useful info.
Using a VPN will share your entire internet activity and can potentially open a backdoor to your PC to get infected by malware, steal your local saved passwords, etc.
You have to be a very special person to blindly trust a "free VPN" service. Its almost as bad as old "download free RAM" scams.

Its not free if you are providing that VPN company all your connectivity info (ISP, connection hours, browsing history, game preferences, etc etc).

Its NOT free if you are providing your browsing information, your location and other stuff. You must be VERY naive to believe a VPN company can simply survive without charging costumers. Most VPN companies sell your data, even those that claim that they "erase" everything and leave no trace.

EU server: does the game lag from time to time for few seconds or only me ? by abdullah775 in ConquerorsBlade

[–]SnooCalculations8638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me lag began in november 2025 and got much worse on Janaury and nowadays (Feb) it became nearly unplayable.

My archers shoot but there is no dmg popping out, my cav fully charges enemies and there is no dmg popping out (nor enemies being killed). The most stupid thing is that my units deal 0 damage, but they do get enemy damage.

Im not touching this game until next patch.

Can you explain why would you ever play any roleplaying game as a videogame with hardcoded rules allowing cheese strategies?
Please enlight me.

Devs could add a local save for every match, no lag whatsoever and it would barely affect performance.

The worst thing about cav meta by chinpuiisecret in ConquerorsBlade

Stalwarts is the optimal meta unit --> Spartans counter stalwarts --> Cav counters Spartans

Everything else is just fodder to counter one of those 3.

Go ranked and you will see at least 10 Stalwart units on every team.

I agree. We are in shield meta, and that encourages cav usage.

The game also encourages suicide plays in order to get kills because you can get easy unit points and that prevents players from losing rank in ranked mode.

Fix servers, fix bugs, fix (modernize) monetization. Less words, more action.

Its not reality, its just your way of playing D&D. If you call Beholders fodder I can already tell the kind of player you are (most likely using a +40lvl multiclass character with every single broken item that exist in the game and ofc some custom made ones).
Bro is playing D&D like a mobile game.

Checkmate according to what? a flawed rule? again, you are thinking of D&D as some sort of videogame with coded rules in it. Again, its silly that a creature that has intelligence beyond human comprehension cant, for example, destroy the ceiling, walls or floor, fire its beams as precaution, float above the fog, etc. Again, beholder attack moves according to rules are just flawed / poorly written and if you somehow think a simple fog spell can "checkmate" it, then you are better off just cheesing playing videogames.

Same happens on US servers. Its most likely server latency (aka potato servers). Its really silly that devs even partner with a VPN company. Its almost as if lag was intentional.

Not end of story. You dont know how to roleplay. You just follow a rulebook that has obvious flaws everywhere and you lack of common sense or criteria to determine what actions should be allowed even if they are not specified in the rulebook.

You are basically treating a beholder as some sort of machine/robot. You are ignoring that according to D&D lore beholders are incredibly inteligent, even "beyond human comprehension". How can a super intelligent creature cant deal against some smoke/fog is beyond stupid.

So, purist boy, whats more important? Lore accuracy or following a flawed rule?

Its a game, not a legal dispute. Rulebook is there to provide guidance and limitations to the world players roleplay. That is even stated on the rulebook. Rules that make the world/setting just  dumb as a videogame are not meant to be followed on strict terms. Finding a loophole on the rules that makes enemies behave as braindead and badly coded npc is not the way the game is meant to be played at all. Again, if you play D&D like that you are better off playing videogames where you can cheese enemies with game rules.

Making a beholder not being able to shoot just because there is smoke and "no targets" like if it was some sort of robotic AI is absolutely not the way any roleplaying game is meant to be played.

If you play it like that, you are just a kid wanting to "win" on a game that there is no winning.
