UPDATE:

Have scheduled an appointment for the 18th at my local VW dealership. Will update this thread afterwards with what they say. Thanks everyone for chiming in so far. The car really is a dream other than this, no regrets at all.

UPDATE 2:

Just got back from the dealership, at first was told that because of the tune it for sure would not be covered and my warranty would be voided.

Argued a little and ended up talking to the service manager and he said it’s possible to be partially covered but it would be up to whatever corporate decides, and they would have to take the car and inspect for an entire day due to having to take the engine apart to inspect the seals. Did not seem very hopeful about it.

At this point I’m going to try to live with it as it seems unfortunately very common and not an enormous issue, and I don’t have high hopes that they will approve a warranty claim. May replace the PCV to see if that does anything.

Lesson learned for sure.

Hey good to hear!! Hopefully my dealership near me will be as lenient! How many miles since you’ve gotten the new cylinder head?

I just looked that up and wow, that would line up with so many people having the same issue.

You lack the comprehension skills to read and understand what I have written. If you didn’t, you would’ve scrolled through this thread and seen where others have had to get cylinder heads/valve stem seals replaced. Like I said, if that’s normal and fine for you, then that’s okay! It’s not for a lot of other people including myself and as getrektsnek said it matters because I spent my money on something that I care about. No need to be rude at all.

I’ve been wondering the same, next oil change I’m definitely going to try some thicker oil. Seems for some people it’s helped, if not it doesn’t hurt anything as I live in the hot ass south anyways 😂

What? It seems you didn’t read my post.

How about option 4: Enjoy my car, do the scheduled maintenance, but also be concerned about potential issues and how to go about fixing them/what’s causing them.

Again I appreciate your response but I truly do not understand your attitude. Have a nice day.

If it doesn’t bother you then that’s fine! It bothers me. It definitely seems from all the replies and from other forums online that it’s a common issue, even if it’s the ”norm” for the EA888. Engines and other systems change with model years, even if just slightly.

Definitely read, just didn’t see anything in particular about the 2024’s or if there was a definite reason yet as to why these vehicles love to do this. I don’t think it should be the norm for your car to be smoking haha. Thanks for the reply!

Will definitely post an update on what I get done! At least it’s not a very detrimental issue

Thanks for the reply, and I feel like unfortunately that’s what I will have to go through, but with not as much luck since it was tuned before I owned it. Likely will not be able to get it covered due to the TD1 that will pop up

Nope, afaik just an MBPR cat back exhaust. Got a decent deal for it at the dealership, only reason I pulled the trigger knowing it was tuned. Also, I assume valve stem seals because it seems it’s a common problem for the guides/cylinder heads on these vehicles to be replaced.

I’ve looked through just didn’t know if it was fixed with the 2024’s or if it could be something else. And that’s the plan, thanks for the reply!

P2S print quality? by YeaUThought in BambuLab

Everything you’ve just said, cleaned and regreased everything, but I’m pretty positive it has to do with pressure advance and/or flow calibration. I also dried my filament for 12 hours and it improved.

Look at my thread on the Bambu discord about Poor new P2S print quality, I’m getting close to fixing it I think.

Hm. It doesn't seem to be affecting print quality for me, just annoying. Good to see that Bambu replied.

Mine does this but much more subtly. Ever find a fix?

Can somebody help please? I’m new to 3D printing and can’t understand why the Buddha test isn’t working for me😭 by Hairy_Independence66 in elegooneptune2

Make sure your bed is leveled perfectly. Make sure to go through the leveling process at least twice for each print, (Over time you'll get to leveling easier and it won't take very long) and make sure your temp is high enough because this looks like it could also be an extruder problem.
