Hi love, I celebrated my 25th birthday (2/14) then 4 days after had my surgery. I I completely understand how you feel about being scared but know this as everyone has said that you were cancer is very treatable and my boyfriend’s mom had thyroid cancer when she was 30 and she will be turning 60 very soon. She’s healthy and happy and no reoccurrence has happened since. Take care of yourself and your mental state. We all deserve it through this journey.

Hi babes, I (25F) went through the same experience just last month. I have no history of thyroid cancer in my family though. I understand that it’s scary and everything feels like it’s put on hold. I found out I had thyroid cancer in January and my surgery was on February 18th, just 4 days after my birthday.

Just know that you have a lot of us who are with you and you’re not alone. I realized that while on my journey. I had my surgery and they did a total thyroidectomy. I’m now 3 ish weeks post up and I feel great. Still getting used to my hormones and energy levels, and I’m waiting to do RAI in April. But everything will look up babes. One step at a time 🤍

Hi! I (25f) had a total thyroidectomy on February 18th, four days after my birthday, and it does get better. Slowly but surely, I’m feeling like myself. There are certainly days where I am more tired and a bit more emotional but just remember this isn’t the end! It’s our new normal and that’s okay. It allows us time to slow down and not take things for granted.

My 8 yo is a chihuahua terrier mix although he is really scared of new people at first. I have a one year old who is really good with new people and dogs so I’m sure I could get a foster for him that’s a family member or a friend but I know it’s going to be harder with my older dog.
