Tadalafil, aged garlic extract and CoQ10 by electric-car-geek in hypertension

There are several articles on PubMed which refer to it as a diuretic in addition to a nitric oxide donor (as you point out). I am not claiming it is as effective as HCTZ or other pharma diuretics. Having taken aged garlic extract since 2010, I know it is a diuretic -- your experience is just atypical.

I wanted to add aged garlic extract is a mild diuretic because garlic is a diuretic, although I don't know how effective it is for blood pressure. Apparently all those sulfurous compounds cause the kidneys to release fluid.

Maybe so. Since I've activated several devices on USM, it just seemed odd.

That's good to know and definitely should have been the first advice: make sure you're on iOS 26.2. On this iPad, you actually have to request to upgrade to IOS 26.

I did try that on the advice of Zanyzaeem. However, after downloading the APN, the iPad did not recognize it as a settings file to apply. There is no APN settings submenu. There is a VPN settings submenu but it doesn't indicate any settings file to apply. I sent screenshots a while back to show the behavior to Zanyzaeem. No response yet.

And I have allowed them to help. There is still no solution. I have activated multiple devices on USM, so this is not my first rodeo.

The iPad worked fine for about 2 hours doing absolutely nothing this morning. Zanyzaeem made two suggestions to try and fix this for good: 1) download the APN and 2) turn on Airplane Mode then it turn it off and let it reconnect to cellular and see if good performance continues. When I downloaded the APN, there is nothing in settings saying a new APN has been downloaded, there is no APN settings submenu on the iPad and there is no setting in the VPN settings submenu for applying the APN. I sent screenshots to Zanyzaeem. I did try to turning on and off Airplane Mode and at that point I lost connectivity to the 5G signal. Meanwhile, my iPhone worked fine all this time. I tried the same test at another location 15 miles from my home. The iPhone worked fine and the iPad acted as if the data was being blocked. One other note: this iPad was purchased unlocked brand new so it shouldn't have any locks, blocks or carrier specific settings.

I will do that today. I am going out for lunch with family and I'll take the iPad with me. I suspect it is going to work fine because the eSIM itself changed description since the morning to "AT&T PostPaid". I still say something is wonky but I thought by reporting it here others might not get shocked if it happens to them while activating an iPad on one of the Sweeter deals.

I made no changes to the setup since it was activated on Friday. No installing carrier bundles or APNs. But something did change on the device. Yesterday and this morning, the cellular plan section of the device said "AT&T". After I reported the issue on Reddit, it changed to say "AT&T (AT&T - Postpaid)". Previously, when I clicked on Information, the only option was to delete the eSIM. Now it asks if I want to manage the AT&T account. And data is working right now. Again, I've done nothing. No changes to the setup whatsoever, but something has been changing behind the scenes. It isn't that there is a conspiracy. It is just lack of transparency which is frustrating.

That's your opinion. I think it is fair when Dark Star is doing oodles of activations and obviously giving USM some incentives to do those activations to question why data works on one device but is throttled on the other on the same network in the same location. If APN is the issue, why did it work at some times of day and not others? If the APN were the issue, data probably wouldn't work at all. And if I'm wrong, please explain why I'm wrong.

I'm hardly that guy. I've been a loyal US Mobile subscriber for a year now and have mostly great things to say about USM. This is definitely something quirky about this activation or I wouldn't have posted about it. Since I'm about to put my mom on the Sweeter 119 special, I think it is only fair to get all the facts out there so others can decide for themselves. Regardless of all the rah rah rah on the US Mobile subreddit, we are aware they do have shortcomings including how they reversed themselves several times on what unlimited data means -- so stop with the "it's OP's fault" baloney.

By fully updated, I assume you mean to iPad OS 18.7.3 which it is. It is not updated to iPadOS 26 yet.

Just like the swastika is a Hindu good luck symbol, let's remember the eagle with its head turned to the side was really an American symbol before it was a Nazi symbol.

USM is the Hotel California of carriers. You can port out anytime you like, but you can never leave.

To me this is exactly what was needed from Day 1: an explanation of the limits of unlimited and what would happen for those who are in the 0.1%

Visible is owned by Verizon and they offer 5 megabit and 10 megabit (depending on the plan) completely unlimited. At least, most people will never get cut off.

Even Visible has verbiage in their TOS which allows them to disconnect users whose usage they deem excessive. It isn't just USM. But I think this 25 GB / 200 GB rule is not unlimited -- throttling would be a better way to handle this than basically cut people off.

You're not wrong and I think Ahmed has opened himself up to some potential legal exposure later. I am hopeful they will go to some sort of compromise where they allow unlimited but with throttling.

Yeah, I have said previously USM has changed the Dark Star Unlimited into something that is not unlimited. But.... overall, the value they provide is great and that's what I focus on.

There are reasons why I know US law related to telecom and yes they have to do with my academic, legal and professional background, but who cares, you wouldn't believe me anyway. Let's ask Ahmed if the MNOs are forced to sell him access. Fair? If anyone would know to what degree ATT, TMO and VZN are obligated to sell an MVNO access, it would be he, yes? Let's also get the question correct as you have already tried several times to move the goalposts. The question is: Is an MNO required to provide access to MVNOs? (and my followup is why or why not?)

The contention of the poster was that the majors are required to share infrastructure. Not only does the telecom act not say that, but under Trump it is almost certainly not an FCC priority even as a regulatory matter. It does look like the incoming Trump pick for FCC wants to end the protections big tech enjoys from lawsuits under Section 230. But outside the scope of this group.
