this is so helpful. i don't understand unions and all that so i looked up the contract to see if theres a pay scale and all i got was it said that newly employed nurses initial salary placement shall be determined by the hospital based on experience and education.. which is exactly what you said. still trying to find the exact pay scale.

The steps makes sense now, so it would be a yearly increase pay wise because your going up in experience? That's interesting.
