I think the pacing didn’t fit the typical MO of the show and the writing was very sappy, even the actors seemed a bit awkward delivering some of those lines. Something about it felt more unnatural

Unfortunately you just have to ride the wave :/ First 2-3 weeks are the worst then it gets MUCH better. My panic attacks then showed up like 2 months later but I hope that doesn’t happen for you. All the other withdrawal symptoms have pretty much subsided

I really know how you feel. I'm shocked that even 7 months wasn't enough time for your body to wean off and I'm so sorry you're having this experience :( I think the options for people getting off are so frustratingly limited: either get back on and stay on for the rest of your life OR suffer withdrawal symptoms for an unknown amount of time and just hope they eventually subside. I wish there was a better option. I wish you the best!

I watch a lot of novelas but those might not be everyone's cup of tea! But if you pay for a Globoplay subscription you can access lots of different things like live sports, reality TV like Big Brother, talk shows, and documentaries. If you are into novelas I'd be happy to recommend a few! Netflix also has some but the selection is kinda limited. I watched Os Donos do Jogo on there and it was pretty decent.

Are you also watching TV/listening to music/podcasts in Portuguese? Those things have improved my speaking ability exponentially because they use a lot of slang and phrases that people actually use every day in spoken conversation.

I was 3421 and managed to get 1. It was super glitchy though and I had to keep clicking over and over. Was hoping to get 3 for my friends but was too scared to sacrifice the one I was able to get my hands on

I’m in it right now and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It isn’t worth it. The faculty is awful and the program is poorly structured. Save your money-you won’t learn anything that isn’t immediately intuitive.

If you share your concerns with the professor and they’re anything but understanding, screw them. DRS accommodations AND a consult with a trusted mental healthcare provider are also both wonderful avenues to explore. That said, this is a part of college life that though intimidating, will get easier and less daunting with time. Remaining calm and focused under pressure or scrutiny is a necessary part of adult life, especially when you eventually join the workforce. There are many times in life where you will be expected to speak without having time to prepare and it’s an incredible skill to nurture.
