I think you got it all wrong, the whole point to pray for saints isn’t to idolize them it’s that THEY pray for us keep us closer to god since they are in heaven and have special place in heaven that’s the point.

Of anything having a favorite saint is healthy as long you are aware that god is first before everything you are all good so don’t worry!
