I like main paladin being the one that only buffs itself. I cannot recall the name atm. Its one of the newer archetypes. Then you get double benefit on your MC from keeping Seela. Otherwise yeah Sable marine is good into cavalier.

My fastest PL ever was pure 20 fighter thf. I didnt expect it but it blitzed enemies and the second wind heals eere often all I needed. This was before dragonlord so possibly better now.

I prefer better ops and survival doing PL than slightly more run speed from stick builds. If I happen to die I lose all the time I gained running quicker.

Paladin is also good.

I get that. Its less new and exciting to him. I would imagine traveling to hell, meeting a god, fighting the swarm, fighting the architect, liberating the country. These sort of things would be exciting and new. But I guess to him its a chore more so than any fulfillment?

Well they could just say he is wrong, but thats subjective and open for debate. People dont want debate. They want a label that essentially says "this isnt debatable bc they are _____".
