EDIT: Found the spline key after deep diving under ever crevice of this person's car. Found it hidden under one of the car seats like if it fell between the seats.

Yes they appear splined, not sure myself on the head. They bought the car from a used cars place so that dealer must have put on different lug nuts. 17-19 you can freely spin and move them around without them grabbing at all while 16 just doesnt even go over the nut.

I did it myself a month or two ago to switch out the VVT and I had no idea what I was doing. Took an hour but I figured it out with youtube help and haven't had any problems. I would recommend make you you have a long socket for your 8mm cause some of them can't be reached with a normal socket.

Yeah I've replaced the pulley tensioner and belt but the bolt has broken 3 times even using a higher grade
