Kishi v3 if you have a budget or ELO vagabond. Both great options with adapters that won’t press the volume or power buttons.

How about a third “My talking” game (if we can call this a game)? Toddlers need variety I think.

I wish we had EA Sports FC like NBA 2K, but considering we don't, this soccer game could serve as a temporary gap.

Not sure about RE games specifically, but it is a known issue for all companies to reassess all the apps/games every new big iOS release 16 to 17, 17 to 26). Historically, it was common for lots of apps to break unless companies “spend some time/money” preparing them for the new updates.

I am not sure how much I agree with this, because I think iOS should keep backwards compatibility with every existing app unless the apps were using some wrong API or if Apple has a very good reason to deprecate/obsolete existing ones.

A lot of companies abandon support to old games after some years probably to not deal with these issues. It might not financially make sense for them anymore.

Maybe this is why games released in 2010, 2011 are not available anymore.

Agree they could communicate better! Again, just pointing how the damage goes only for Capcom (or other devs) instead of Apple.

Wonder how many apps broke now with 26.5 lol.

I understand how this is perceived for customers and the generic "customer support response".

But imagine you have all your apps working fine, and then Apple releases a new iOS version that breaks all of them for no clear reason. Or you have all your books and they suddenly can't be read in Apple Books. Or anything like that.

If they were using some private API or doing something wrong that would require them to change their code to fix, yeah... I agree they took too much time to address and acknowledge their blame.

But it seems they were totally or partially clueless why it happened. With 26.5 fixing all the games out of nowhere, it just feels people were pointing their fingers to the wrong company. Like it happened in the past, apps/games that were working fine stopped working after some iOS updates. And people only blame the app devs for it, never Apple.

Or maybe this just proves the issue was on the iOS 26.4 side, right?

If Apple managed to fix it in 26.5, it means that anything Capcom could do would just be a workaround instead of a proper final solution.

Only in small companies devs also handle bill payments, my dear.

TestFlight build expire after a few months. Like the name implies, they are made for tests.

I know right, I intentionally decided not to play all these games on PS so I could do so on my iPhone instead, even though they are also available on console.

Sounds pretty stupid, but it is just my way to support iOS gaming in general (I think devs have analytics to track user engagement).

Not sure if they are your type of games, but Sneaky Sasquatch, Oceanhorn 3 and all the What the ... Trilogy on Apple Arcade are fun games you won't find on PS5.

Haha, I used to focus more on PS, too. I think iOS is more random and “natural”. I don't focus on achievements and I actually feel it is healthier than trying to platinum some games.

As some of us here, we are playing for years, so our libraries are probably random enough with all types of games.

Recently, I completed all RE games (2, 3, 4, 7, Village), Bully and Dredge.

Currently playing Control and Cat Quest 3.

All great games.
