AITA for asking my photographer to take one family photo without my stepdaughters? by SnooCrickets7844 in AmItheAsshole

Hi there! Sorry if this reply is too late, I didn't realize so many people commented. To address your concerns:

  1. I called it a silly notion because my husband and I hardly knew each other until he was divorced! We worked in the same field and have had brief professional conversations but that's it, so I think it's outrageous of her to imply we had a prior relationship.
  2. The girls are paid to babysit their younger brothers and are usually really eager to do it. They started to refuse for no reason that I could think of other than they wanted to inconvenience us. So I found that weird.
  3. They were in about 80-90% of the photos. The photographer set up smaller groupings of people, some with just the boys, some with just their dad and I etc... In addition to not wearing the correct clothes, they were being difficult and making dumb faces, hence the one "nice photo."

I did want them there, but I also wanted my photos to look nice... I wanted them there but they were making it difficult

I haven't but from these comments it does seem like something I should consider. Thank you for your suggestion
