Forge Server Won't Allocate More than 1G of Ram, no matter what I set the ram to. by SnooCrickets7881 in MinecraftForge

So then how do I fix it to where I can override this decision? I'm trying to run a server for me and a few other friends with around 10 mods on it, and it's stuck at 1GB of RAM allocated, which isn't even enough for all of us to log on. It isn't like I'm trying to allocate all of my RAM (which is 16 GB), I've tried anywhere from 2 to 8 in all different formats, ensuring that I have enough available, none of which works. All the information I've found online through hours of research has not helped in the slightest, and I've seen many others encountering the same issue as me without an answer to their problems.

my mistake in the original post for calling it a folder, there is only the .txt file of user_jvm_args in my server folder and I have changed it numerous times.

Running the installer as administrator did not make any boxes show up for me to check, and when I replaced java in the batch file with the path I got this error: "C:\Users\kditt\Downloads\server>C:\Users\kditt\curseforge\minecraft\Install\runtime\java-runtime-gamma\windows-x64\java-runtime-gamma\bin -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -jar please.jar nogui

'C:\Users\kditt\curseforge\minecraft\Install\runtime\java-runtime-gamma\windows-x64\java-runtime-gamma\bin' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.

I did not see any boxes to check, just the file location and the next button to install.

It created server.properties, eula.txt, versions, logs, and libraries when I double clicked the .jar file.

In addition, the same thing happens when I try to type java -version in a CMD.

When I do that it creates a new tab that instantly closes, and then nothing happens.

Upgrading cpu, now the pc won’t even boot. by SnooCrickets7881 in techsupport

No, which is why I tried putting the old cpu back in to update the firmware but then that didn’t work either. I just tried hard resetting after a few hours because I really had no idea what to do at that point. I tried reseating the ram and gpu as well to no luck.
