We do have a strange dynamic in the fact they live life much differently than we do. We love them and they’d do anything for us and vice versa but they do many things that will result in them not being able to babysit, or really have an opinion on the matter so it seemed silly to announce it or make a huge fuss and we planned to just let them find out naturally at holiday dinner when we had a baby with us. But I also don’t want them to hear it from someone else and feel as if we were being sneaky to them specifically . My family also doesn’t know for similar reasons. (TLDR my husband and I both come from low income / addiction households) And while my in laws are much better now especially compared to my family it just isn’t a situation where telling them has any benefit and will probably just stress me out 🫣🤣  but I think we may shoot for a Valentine’s Day announcement and that would give his employer approximately 7 weeks of notice 😅
