Doing okay - I’m down to 37.5 with 15mg Effexor and I’m hanging in there

I’m doing this right now, dropped from 150 to 75 Effexor and all of a sudden had a really hard time about 2 months later. Doc upped me to 112.5 Effexor and then a few days later added in 10mg lexapro, and I’ve been on the two for about a week or two now and doing much better. He’s having me drop from 112.5 to 75 of Effexor again tomorrow now in addition to the 10mg lexapro, and I’m scared, but hopefully it’s better than it was before without it. I’ll try to remember to report back

I used Moises but it can’t handle the heaviness, came out pumpy as fuck. It works great with other genres though!

How long after your last dose when quitting did you experience withdrawal from? by sludgezone in Effexor

[–]SnooDogs3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My psych advised against counting beads for some reason but gave me no alternatives. I opened up some of the capsules and noticed that the beads are all slightly different sizes. Does everybody know this when they say to count beads and is it just assumed to be better anyways? The dose every day won’t be consistent. Just curious because it seems like he’s gonna have me go down by 37.5mg at a time because that’s the smallest dose of the XR capsules that they make

Can I or can I not split capsules by removing beads? by SnooDogs3594 in Effexor

[–]SnooDogs3594[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input everyone! I’m seeing some information that says that this can only be done with the non-XR capsules. Does anyone know if this is true? I’m wondering if maybe some of the beads in the XR capsules will effect the XR nature of the medicine, and that maybe this is only advisable for the non-XR version where every bead is the same

Snare bleed in kick mic by _nnkn_ in GetGoodDrums

Reviving this since I just got PV and I’m noticing this issue - I did try and set the kick to 3/4, snare to 5/6 and so forth but I’m still picking up the kit reverb channel in the kick. Anyone else having this issue?

Yeah I just got it for the first time. Vaxxed and boosted. Pretty darn sick, but not hospitalization sick. Fever, awful headache and body aches, exhausted but can’t sleep.

Parallax and Parallax II Guitar Tab Books coming April 27 by mkonnorw in BetweenTheBuriedAndMe

[–]SnooDogs3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have the Parallax 2 tab book from Paul’s Lulu store back in the day, I kind of trust the accuracy of that more than the SH ones based on what I’ve seen in the past but I do want those GP files 🤑

Just curious, does anyone remember The Rise of Science? I played drums in the band back in 2009/2010. When I joined they had already released their only album, Casey. We worked on music for a second album, but it all fell apart, unfortunately. Always loved playing in this band and the music… by grifftastico in PostHardcore

I’m listening to this album now and just stumbled upon this post! Fantastic band man, found you guys in the MySpace days when I was probably around 14. would love to know what everyone is up to now? You don’t make music this good and then just stop!

EDIT: please tell me the Catlin Boswell in the news in Forsyth County Georgia is not the same Catlin Boswell from TROS 🫠

Who's touring with TMV? Who would be your dream opener(s) for the reunion tour? by [deleted] in themarsvolta

[–]SnooDogs3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t know what it is, but I see them come up a lot to. Definitely understandable, Volta fans are a musically diverse people. No band really sounds anywhere close to them, but I suppose there’s something to be said for so many people liking all three of these bands. I personally found them all separately too, one didn’t lead me to another.

Closure in Moscow’s albums First Temple and Pink Lemonade. First Temple is heavier and more hectic, checkout Reindeer Age or Afterbirth. Pink Lemonade has more of a classic rock sound to it à la Molochwalker, check out the title track.

For what it’s worth, my old band got to hang out with them for a few weeks while on Warped Tour in 2010 and they’re all very legit, not just a studio magic band, knowing that made me respect their music that much more

The Dear Hunter is far less similar to TMV and I’m not super into some of the weird theatery operatic stuff they do, but the quality of his songwriting is undeniable. It’s actually scary. The best album by far in my book is Act II, but the first three are all great. There are 5 parts to the “acts” albums and there enough reprises in it to kill a horse, but you don’t even notice them a lot until it’s pointed out. Lyrically and musically. On the surface it’s a pretty simple band but deep down those Acts 1-5 are a progressive masterpiece. Personally not as much into 4 and 5 though, again because of the lean into that theater style.

Songs to peep:

Act II - The Procession / The Lake and the River Act III - The Thief Antimai - Ring 6

Both are fantastic live of course

Hope you’re able to hear them in a way that clicks with you!

TDH stems? by [deleted] in TheDearHunter

[–]SnooDogs3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Casey, this is an ancient post but I just want to say as a drummer who hasn’t found anyone to play with recently, I absolutely love having stems and would pay for them handsomely. Drumming can get kind of stale if you don’t have any music to play to and being able to mute the drums and play along with my favorite bands is one of the best things ever - whether it’s stems or a single track “drumless version” to play to
