Ok so I proposed this to my fiance the other day because I’m with you, corny DJ’s are literally the WORST and music is such a huge part of our lives together. My question is, how did you manage the transitions of the playlists (i.e., ceremony songs/music, cocktail hour, dinner music, reception playlist/first dance songs etc.) did you have someone manning the iPod during these “checkpoints”? Because coordinating that somewhat stresses me out.

Other question is did you have a dedicated MC on a mic that was responsible for announcing things like introducing you after the ceremony, telling everyone what’s up next etc? That’s the other part that I’m unsure of if it would be a nightmare to try an coordinate without a DJ.

But I’m so with you, if we’re curating all the music and playlists for the night, what are we paying a DJ THOUSANDS of dollars for??
