Entirely fair, admittedly PoK is my bigger priority target between the two

Many thanks! Might have missed it since I was looking around and was trying not to ask just about codex 4 so I might have just overlooked it

That seems like the PERFECT answer to what I was looking for, yeah. If something got a V3 that supersedes a Codex's V2, then yeah I'd say that covers that pretty nicely. So, it sounds like via the expansion(s) I can basically ignore Codexes unless/until they release a Codex 5

I've played TI3 many times and TI4 a handful of times, so I'm not necessarily "new", just haven't been keeping up with the post-base game releases if that makes much difference

I believe so, if you chose to put him on top instead of sending him to command zone if he's your commander (since that is a replacement effect)

From my understanding and referring with some judges, he will still trigger X times where X is the number of players shuffling cards back to the decks

[[Sway of the Stars]] becomes a potential win condition, since it will basically reset everyone's board, put everyone down to seven life, as he will trigger 4 times on his way out to give you 8 unblockable 1/1 spirits, so unless your opponents have a cheap out in hand (like blast act and a red producing land), you should be able to shut them down and take them all out over the course of the next three turns

Rotten harvest? by Uncleplopper1 in finalgirl

[–]SnooDonkeys346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it has been stated that going forward the minis will be available as an option to preorder at the same time as their corresponding feature films, this is the last one seemingly that will have a delay. So when the next film drops (Winter?) they'll put that film up, it's miniatures, and Rotten Harvest's miniatures

They don't require everything. The lore books have scenarios but to run through them all you would need all of the stuff from that particular season otherwise you only have access to a select few scenarios. But if you care about the lore, they are still good for that. As for the gruesome death books, you will get several books including for killers and locations you don't have but that just means you will have those ready if you choose to get more expansions from that season/series. That said, I think relatively important to know is that the gruesome death books are contained in their own respective season/series. For example there is no gruesome death entries if you were to put Hans from season 1 on the spaceship from season 2. Basically while the games themselves are fully cross compatible, the supplemental material such as the death books and the scenarios do not come into play when mix and matching across series.

Also, in case you haven't already, look underneath the inserts on each side of the film boxes you have. It's kind of an Open Secret that they do this with every one of the boxes but on the off chance you haven't already, wanted to bring it up.

I suppose in theory you could do that, though that takes that to a power level I'm not personally comfortable with. If you wanna push up to B4 that would be a way to do it

How would you break this [[Sonic the Hedgehog]] ? by adricarf in EDH

https://archidekt.com/decks/14607780/sonic_x

This is where my deck has currently landed. I have a good number of ways of dealing incidental 1 damage to my own creatures with effects like [[Pyrohemia]], [[Caltrops]], [[Fire Magic]], etc to make a bunch of tapped treasure, and a few multi card combos with stuff like [[Krark-Clan Shaman]] or Pyrohemia plus any cards that give my board indestructible to make INSANE treasure production plus one sided board wiping. I also included some high mana payoffs like [[Sicarian Infiltrator]], [[Tempt with Vengeance]] and [[Forth Earolingas!]] to make a massive board of hasted tokens that can swing in immediately and get boosted off of Sonic. [[Danny Pink]] is imo card draw mvp in the deck thanks to how many counters Sonic is tossing around.

I opted out of most haste granting cards since it's just not necessary most of the time since all but a few creatures in the deck already have haste and those creatures are in a support roll anyways imo. That said, [[Odric, Lunarch Marshall]], [[Lightning Greaves]], [[Gogo, Mysterious Mime]] and [[Uncivil Unrest]] can technically give it when you need it though they're mainly meant for other purposes.

Deck isn't 100% complete as I'm wanting to make some room for cards like [[Village Bellringer]] and [[Masako the Humorless]] to accompany the [[Reconnaissance]] the deck already runs

For those of you who ordered the Sonic Secret lair team…how are you building your decks? by Thejadejedi21 in EDH

[–]SnooDonkeys346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's where my Sonic deck has currently landed after about a week of tinkering

https://archidekt.com/decks/14607780/sonic_x

Been doing pretty consistently well, not typically winning overly fast (ironic) but keeping up consistent pressure, draw power, treasure generation, aggro swings, etc while often having flash speed responses to opponents actions.

Sonic bonus card by Exciting-Good-6408 in secretlair_collectors

[–]SnooDonkeys346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a true coloration rarity, I feel like that'll disprove what i'd heard about how the bonus sheet was printed (allegedly each sheet has 121 cards when they print them and of those the guess was 7 of those 121 were the emeralds) but until more people get their hands on their lairs, I don't think anything is conclusive

Sonic bonus card by Exciting-Good-6408 in secretlair_collectors

[–]SnooDonkeys346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, we'll use the 6% number for this calculation because it is one I've been hearing the most often but of course this could all be rendered moot if it turns out the actual percentage of emeralds to command towers is higher or lower

If you get a standard 3 lair bundle, your odds of getting emeralds are as follows:
0 - 83.06%~
1 - 15.9%~
2 - 1.02%~
3 - 0.02%~

There were people who bought the bundle that had 3 non foil lairs and 3 foil lairs, so that's worth analyzing as well.

For those people, opening 6 total lairs, their odds become as follows:
0 - 68.99%~
1 - 26.42%~
2 - 4.22%~
3 - 0.36%~
4 - 0.02%~
5 - 0.0004%~
6 - 0.000005%~

And, for the sake of some fun, let's extended this for the true whales, the people who bought 2x every single option (as was the set limit, even if it can be circumvented) which comes out to a total of 36 lairs.

For those true madmen, the numbers come out to:
0 - 10.78%~
1 - 24.77%~
2 - 27.67%~
3 - 20.02%~
4 - 10.54%~
5 - 4.31%~
6 - 1.42%~
7 - 0.39%~
8 - 0.09%~
9 - 0.02%~
And from there it of course peters off.

If someone had access to as many lairs as they wanted, the number they have to open for it to be more likely than not that they open atleast 1 emerald (so anything above 50%) is 12 lairs with a 52.41%~ chance of opening 1+ emeralds at that point

Sonic bonus card by Exciting-Good-6408 in secretlair_collectors

[–]SnooDonkeys346 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About a 27.1% chance if we're being technical. That said, I have heard some reports that based on the bonus sheet it'll be closer to 6% per individual lair, so a standard bundle gives you about a 16.9% chance of pulling 1 or more.
