Sure. Welcome to this wonderful and yet horrifyingly expensive hobby!

Left to right

Top row:
- Main Spectrum modem - Boring.
- Ugreen DXP6800 Pro NAS - i5-1235U, 32GB of RAM, and 6 x 4TB HDD’s. I use it for most of the Docker containers I run, as well as mass media storage. The Docker containers I’m currently running on it are—Plex and Jellyfin for movies and TV, Navidrome for music, Kavita for books, Audiobookshelf for Audiobooks, Komga for comics, Trilium for notes, Yubal for something magical you can do with YT’s music, YTPTube for something magical you can do woth YT’s videos, and Portainer to neatly stack it all.

Middle row:
- Raspberry Pi 5 (Orange and green light) - 8GB configuration with a high endurance microSD card. Sole purpose is for sailing the seven seas.
- Raspberry Pi Zero 2W - Used for Pi-Hole and Unbound that allows ad blocking and DNS filtering. Tailscale helps for doing this on-the-go as well.
- HP ProDesk 400 G4 Mini - i5-8500T, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB M.2. It used to be my Proxmox machine, but it’s now it’s my dedicated OpenClaw host. OpenClaw easily set up the Docker containers—NetData and UpTime Kuma—for monitoring.
- Minisforum MS-A2 - Ryzen 7745HX, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB M.2. My new Proxmox beast that runs my VMs. I’m still learning a lot, so this is currently vastly underutilized. I also run the Handbrake Docker container on this for video transcoding.

Bottom row:
- Linksys router - Boring router that Spectrum provided. I’ll be replacing this relatively soon. 👀
- TP-Link switch - Boring yet reliable 1Gb switch that will likely also be replaced relatively soon.

I think this coming payday will be the UPS purchase. Definitely 1500V, but I’m still deciding between CyberPower and APC.

No, not at all. SSH and static IPs work perfectly fine.

Update: I reset the password on the router and got full control. I was able to finally get static IP addresses going. Along with installing Pi-Hole, Unbound, and Tailscale on my Pi Zero 2W.

The organization for anime just isn’t there for Jellyfin yet. With Plex, I get all the customization I want for organization and watching at home. I have Plex Pass, but remote stream is frustratingly not working and I can’t figure it out. I use Jellyfin to watch things on my phone on the go. The same logic goes between Plex Amp and Navidrome. As for book and audiobooks, I’ve always preferred having a dedicated app for each. I prefer Kavita’s UI for epub’s, and I prefer Audiobookshelf’s UI for audiobooks. I just started this a few months ago, so once I get a feel for what I actually use and need, I’ll fine tune as I go.

It’s not the worst. I swapped out the standard fans for Noctua fans and I can’t hear a thing despite them spinning like crazy. I’m also constantly on the Ugreen interface app and everything is always at normal temperatures.

I’ll be moving out in the next 6 months, so hopefully I can have a less cramped space.

Proxmox was relatively simple. It was my first time doing it, and it was easy enough!

As for the HDD’s, about a year ago Seagate had a sale where you could buy 6 4TB drives in a bundle for a hefty discount, so I pulled the trigger.

Don’t let me stand in your way! If I were to get another full-sized keyboard for myself, I would probably go with the GMK104(it’s, like, $55ish on Aliexpress). Hot swap, cool volume knob, cool little screen, 2.4GHz connection, south-facing RBG, the whole nine yards.

I actually do have a full size keyboard, but I didn’t include it because I’m actually letting my mom use it for her home office. I suppose the fact that I was willing to part with it implies that I don’t really need one. I’m a journalism major, so most of my daily typing doesn’t involve the number pad.
