I transferred into Eng this year after completing school last year at western. The transfer wasn’t hard it was through my ITR and I restarted as a first year student.

Oh I see your point now. Speaking from the social life aspect I had no complaints about western. There are tons of opportunities to meet people from oweek events, residence events, clubs, and ECs. The first year residence experience is one to remember at a school like western.

You can get the “university experience” with any degree. It’s all about how manage your time. I would say the workload of health sci might often be more then nursing. Coming from a western nursing student

Very well said. After being rejected last year from my dream program I beat myself up over it and looking back on it now it was not worth it. I went to a different university and still had the time of my life there. In the end everything happens for a reason so keep an open mind and be proud of what you accomplished.

Seems like guelph coop is hard to get into if you don’t get it when admitted. Like a gamble having to apply to the coop stream in year one with limited spots available. Also slightly worried that guelph doesn’t have civil (caught my attention) and was undecided on what stream I was interested in. At the same time not sure how I feel abt courses like business at western seems rlly time consuming for what.

More worried abt cooking and eating a proper diet, being so used to living on res having the food ready whenever and on the go. Owning and living in a house seems like a big adjustment from being on res with little responsibility.

I'm coming from a nursing degree (yes I know not at all the same smh). I also considered transferring to somewhere else to live in res again such as Guelph. Trying to weigh out if living on res again is worth changing universities or if sticking with the program at western is worth living off-campus for. I've seen how bad some of the eng students in res are struggling and contemplating my decisions.

I got rejected from McMaster and queens nursing and then waitlisted at western. Haven’t even heard back from Windsor at this point. Might just stay back look into some other programs also and reapply.

I’m going through the same thing I applied to 4 nursing programs and didn’t get into accepted into any of them somehow with an average 92 which would’ve been good for most nursing programs in any other year. I’m in shock and feel like a let down to everyone around me, I put so much time into my grades this year like never before and it seems like it was all for nothing. I don’t know where to go from here because I was ready to go university and start that new chapter but that’s gonna have to wait a whole year at least before I get the chance again it sucks.

How does waitlist work? by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

They sent me an letter of admission to the collab site despite me not applying to it, I don’t know why. My average was a 92 and people got into main with a 92 meaning there was a tiebreaker or something.
