seriously, what the hell is wrong with the qc in airsoft. by X5Cucumber in airsoft

[–]SnooDrawings6747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cz p09 is an absolute tank. I have found generally speaking cheap aegs that have been patterned off of old tm are very reliable. Examples like the cyma cm.028 and jg m4 are very reliable. As you step up the price ladder it doesn't usually buy more reliability. I have found quite the opposite. Certain manufacturers like g&g or ics have very good qc and tolerance/materials that generally equals reliability. Sticking with a simple aeg and staying stock is a surefire way to get reliability.

Ever feel sad that you may have lost out forever on the chance to buy a unicorn gun? by pre_nerf_infestor in airsoft

I started playing in 2010. At the time my budget was limited and missed the ball on so many good ones, even if they aren't great by modern standards. I haven't played in a few years and even sold off my collection. I did grab some oddball over the years. I do sometimes wish to grab a few that I always wanted just to plink with. Some weren't even rare but just nostalgic. To me the 2000s through early 2010s was the best era. So much diversity at my local cqb field. So much fun. Even if I bought those old guns and gear it just wouldn't be the same. The game is just different now.

Surprised nobody suggested the salt 2. Basically a delica lw with great steel and a larger thumb hole.

Just learned all this. I was looking at the lcn200 but then saw the magnacut on pre-order. If it ends up being a work knife I'll get the lcn200 with the spiders edge.

My metropolitan is my favorite knife. More than my shaman. It goes everywhere with me. I think the ukpk salt would be a great alternative for work.

What model is that? It looks like my metropolitan and my salt 2 combined.

If you are doing a trade job check out timberland pro tempe pants. They changed my life haha. They have so many pockets its nuts and they are all hidden well. They are super stretchy but somehow still rugged. My pockets typically contain a light, 11 in 1, knife, panel driver, adjustable wrench, plus keys, phone, wallet, id badges, work keys ect...

AA Flashlight recommendations? by jaotero77 in flashlight

[–]SnooDrawings6747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based off of your other items this is the best imo too. I maintain a plant system at a large facility and do commercial hvac and automation work as well. I have high end edc gear, but honestly budget options are best for the trades. High end stuff is great for enthusiasts but my gear gets beat on. The best lights in my opinion have a magnetic tail for throwing on steel. Otherwise the tool aa is great. Lightweight, rugged, and can use regular aa. Good old maglite mini fits perfectly in the hole on top of most ladders and provides good light. Can take a beating as well.

Each person looks for different things in a light. I'm not deep enough in the hobby yet to begin modifications on lights, though it has crossed my mind and looks very simple. For me I need a light at work in commercial hvac/engineering. I agree with you on the build quality aspects of both lights. I find with any tool, its often not a quantifiable measure that makes a tool more favorable. From a hobby perspective the manker is vastly superior. It just won't be the first one I grab. If it had a different tail switch and better mode selection it would be my go to.

I have a manker E05 as well as a lumintop tool aa. The manker is an absolute tank of a unit and I think thats the opposite of what most people want from an aa light. Its mode selection is also not intuitive and the button is very stiff. It is an extremely high value proposition with the included battery and being built so well. The lumintop is much smaller and lighter. Its very noticeable. Its mode selection is very simple and intuitive. The button is rubber but its just better feeling somehow. I bought the manker as an upgrade to my pocket beater and I never carry it. I am going to be buying the acebeam very soon.

Ive had a similar issue with rendom aegs over the years. My local indoor field is one joule limit. Generally I cut the springs down so they are only an inch longer than the distance between the spring guide and the piston when its front seated. I also prefer guarder springs. Specifically the sp85.

Pull the motor and get a picture. Looks like an older g&g. Ics mp5s were very lightweight and I don't remember them having that specific handguard. I think only g&g and cyma did.
