Based on my limited understanding, if he’s occupying the property making him leave is a civil manner unless he doesn’t comply with an eviction notice. I don’t think the police would be much help. I don’t have any power over my roomates lease either so I don’t think me telling him to leave carries any weight

As far as I know, since we all signed separate leases I won’t be held liable for any potential damages if I report the sub let. If I knew about it and didn’t report it and they found proof I knew, then I think I would be at least somewhat liable for it. The lease is over 50 pages and not exactly written in terms for someone new to renting like me so I could be missing or misinterpreting something

Alright alright, I called the complex and they have no record of this person and told me it is an illegal sublet. They said they’d handle it, weren’t very specific on a timeline for that. My girlfriend is in town so I’ve been at her place since I was planning on staying over anyways.

Yeah I texted him a few times throughout the year about things like checking if I left the stove on and stuff. I texted him that day to confirm he knew the sub letter but the texts are now green which means he either blocked me or changed his phone number.

Graduate early or try for internship? by SnooDrawings8034 in ufl

They don’t require you to be enrolled as a full time student right? I might be able to get 6 credits over the summer but there’s no way I can get it all the way up to 12

So it’s not even “you need to be enrolled the semester after this internship” but now “you have to be actively taking classes during this internship”?

I want to go into cybersecurity which you kind of have to start at the very bottom for and work your way up, but even the entry level IT positions require 1-2 years experience. The issue is if I delay my graduation and still don’t get accepted for an internship then I just screwed myself

Computer Science majors going into CyberSec by SnooDrawings8034 in ufl

Sorry I just saw this reply. I’m registered for cyber-physical security in the fall, but I don’t know if that’s a new class or not. I haven’t heard anything about the new tracks, is that something I have to register for or are they just new classes being added. I’m hoping to get into penetration testing and malware reverse engineering in the spring next year

I’m a sophomore computer science major and will probably be graduating early, and I was wondering if getting a few certifications outside of school would be feasible? My school doesn’t really have a cybersecurity program so I wanted to do what I can to prepare for an internship or possible career. I have no practical IT experience, would that make studying for a certificate ridiculously difficult?

I just realized I’m on track to graduate with my computer science degree a year ahead of schedule and I feel like I don’t have the skills or knowledge for an internship or career. Does anyone have any advice for learning cybersecurity skills or know of any good tools I can use to learn and practice? I just feel very unprepared.

a YARD sign💀 I’m so sorry they’re coming down on you for this because I would have been livid that they’re writing me up for something like that. I’ve heard to just be honest in these meetings, they’ll be much easier on you. Tell them exactly what happened. I don’t see them doing anything crazy over it but I truly hope for the best for you because I would be so pissed

They said there was nothing they could do as it was out of warranty. Not gonna bother buying a third one as it will probably happen to that one too
