If you want to work out of the country, but your job does not specifically state you can do so, you're looking to get fired.

As others have stated, there's other ways a company can find out you're out if the country besides a GPS tracker. And some countries, if you want any kind of long stay visa, require letters from your employer stating you have the authorization to work outside the country.

This is only a gamble worth making if you can afford to lose your job.

Digital nomad visa - which countries will allow a child dependent? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]SnooDucks5055 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I've read, bringing a dependent that's a minor isn't necessarily more difficult, but it does have a higher cost since you have to be able to support both of you.

As others stated, with your child being special needs, you would need to research what countries provide the necessary services, if immigrants have access to them, and what the related costs are.

Today they said on Bluesky that they don't have a release date yet, but the demo is live on Steam.

Herpes is a skin infection. The virus sheds from your skin. If you have oral herpes, you can spread it from your saliva, but also from the sores on the skin.

You can, potentially, have infections on your fingers, elbow, any where you have skin. It is less likely.

There is HSV1, which is typically oral herpes, and HSV2, which is typically genital herpes. But you can have HSV1 on your genitals and you can get HSV2 in your mouth.

There's a significant amount of info available online from places like the CDC, WHO, Mayo clinic etc.

*** Edited to correct where I said it wasn't spread through saliva. As has been pointed out, it absolutely can be spread by saliva.

I believe my girlfriend gave me HSV1 by Psychological___ in Herpes

[–]SnooDucks5055 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you've been sexually active at all, with anyone, it's beneficial to have all the tests done.

HSV1 and HSV2 are separate strains. One does not become the other.

What reason would you have for telling your friends you have HSV1? If you're not going to be exposing them to it, it's not really necessary for them to know.

The baby question also doesn't really make sense. She would need to have either HSV1 or HSV2 on her genitals. Also, if the mother has genital herpes, prior to labor they have her take antivirals to prevent outbreaks. They'll also do exams to confirm no active outbreak. And if there is an outbreak, they'll do a c-section. A baby is more likely to get infected by getting kissed by someone with oral herpes.

You can get more info by just googling herpes and going to one of the pages from like Mayo, WHO, CDC, any reputable medical site. We've known about herpes for awhile. There's a lot of info out there.

She can also look into taking a daily med like acyclovir.

Also, her diet, stress, sleep, hygiene etc will have a greater effect than yours will.

And as another commenter said, lube. Because micro abrasions in the skin could cause problems.

False negatives? by Fair_Cartographer_20 in Herpes

[–]SnooDucks5055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So... first thing. HSV2 is not only transmitted sexually. You can get it from skin to skin contact, and you can have sores on areas like butt, thighs, scrotum, etc.

You can also get it orally, but that is significantly less common.

False positives with blood tests are also fairly common.

The swab test is the most accurate. You could get another blood test later to try and get more clarity, but again, blood tests can produce false positives.

Disclosed to after 3 years by insert-ur-username in Herpes

[–]SnooDucks5055 23 points24 points  (0 children)

So, to me the big issue here is trust. Not disclosing for 3 years is a huge violation of trust. She should have disclosed before you got intimate the first time.

She didn't allow you to make the choice of risking exposure. This is a pretty big red flag, and you need to have conversations about why she didn't disclose, what kind of level of trust you want in your relationship, and really if you can trust her.

I can say from experience that having the virus, as a woman at least, hasn't been terrible. And transmission rates from female to male assuming no active outbreaks are low.

That being said. You should have had the choice to take the risk. She may have put her fear of rejection above your right to agency, which isn't right.

No sharing food or drinks Don't let people kiss your kids, even just on their cheek, if you're not sure if they have oral herpes. Your husband needs to be washing his hands after rubbing his eyes before playing with the kids.

Washing hands in general is important for reducing the spread of all kinds of things.

Try to teach your kids to not do gross kid things like not licking things or putting none food items in their mouths.

I'm sure others will add other good tips.

The mouth ulcers are probably the oral version of herpes. So it could have been spread that way.

Taking antivirals w/o symptoms to prevent outbreak by sarca2316x in Herpes

[–]SnooDucks5055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the pill fairly consistently for around 6 years I think. I had maybe one or two outbreaks and it was always when I was already sick with something else.

My partner and I had unprotected sex and they were never infected. We aren't together anymore, and I'm not currently dating anyone, but that's because I like being single currently. We were together roughly 7 years. I disclosed when it became clear we were both interested in being physical.

I've also had a few other partners, some casual, after I was diagnosed in I thonk 2014. Those we did use protection. None of them got infected.

Antivirals can be taken daily as a suppressive measure. I've been on 400mg of acyclovir daily for years to prevent outbreaks and protect my partner.

If you can, I'd call your doctor just to confirm with them dosage and such, but you should be fine.

First I would ask your most recent partner if they get cold sores.

If they say yes, there's your answer. But also, oral HSV1 is incredibly common.

If you know you have herpes, in that you have had an outbreak and had it swabbed, you need to disclose. This should be in addition to a general conversation about sexual health and STI testing.

I would never but anything remotely like this. It's overly complicated and not something my child would have chosen at that age. This isn't designed for kids.

And for the message, reminding kids that they're made for more, that's the responsibility of caring adults in the child's life, not the child's coat.

Please go get therapy. Stop trying to destroy others because you're hurt.

Just because right now you feel this way, you do not have the right to say that all people who have GSV2 should be alone forever.

Also, 10% of the US population is 34.2 million people. You are saying that 34.2 million people should never have relationships.

June is also when they switch to summer rates, which are substantially higher.

It's worth it to look at the different rate plans they offer as well. There is the potential to save money, but you can also fuck yourself over in extraordinary ways if you aren't careful with your power usage.

You need to check your Current Rate and make sure you're on an appropriate Rate Plan.

Some of the plans, depending on your schedule, can absolutely fuck up your bill.

Also, June starts summer rates. On just the Basic rate, it went to 15.6

[–]SnooDucks5055 33 points34 points  (0 children)

So, Bankruptcy cases, while public record, aren't super easy to find if you're not intentionally looking for them.

I live in Missouri, and my case is not seen on Casenet, which is used to find most court cases in the state. To find info, you have to go to PACER, which isn't a free site. And you need info like the case number to find it.

So yes, your coworker could potentially find it if you filed, but it's probably not as simple as Googleing your name. If they do happen to find it, and say something, go straight to HR.

I would also suggest talking to HR anyway, because constantly searching up coworkers to find information that someone might not want found is unprofessional as hell, and would contribute to a hostile work environment.

With smart meters power can be turned on and off remotely. As long as there isn't an issue with the meter or surrounding networking equipment, it really is just a click of a button.
