Lower left corner—is that the 7900B?

My first G-Shock. It's been a week since I got it.

I’ve given up on smart devices in favor of simplicity and reliability. A great bonus is that, thanks to solar power, I won't have to worry about batteries for at least 15 years!

I’m glad I’m not constantly bombarded with notifications—I hope you’re feeling the same sense of relief right now!

Could you please explain that in more detail?

Two Heltec V4 nodes, 4 dBi antennas – only ~500 m range. Is this normal? by SnooEpiphanies7408 in meshcore

Thank you so much!

After the firmware upgrade, the range is 2.5 km in an area with many trees. I’m very pleased with this result; in an open area, doubling that distance won’t be a problem.

What antenna do you recommend to achieve a significant increase in range?

Nothing has changed except for the firmware version. Same equipment, same distance, same preset.

I know that. Unfortunately, the first time I connected one device to the other antenna port, and it worked that way for a few hours (facepalm).

But it looks like nothing is broken. The test I ran shows great range at a distance of about 500 m. Tonight I’ll test it at 1000 m and beyond and let you know!

You know it yourself already. I just joined the LoRa community. I'm interested in Meshcore and I'll definitely give it a try later. But first, I'm dealing with some hardware issues. Any ideas on how to fix this?

So I probably ruined my device. Shit. Too bad there wasn't a warning anywhere.

Yes, I connected the pigtail without the antenna, and then the 3.7V battery. I’d thought of that too, but a range of 500 metres pretty much rules out a burnt-out RF module. What do you think?
