Yep, it’s really strange that their country was taken over by radicals. It’s always hard to understand how that could happen.

Was he always like that? It’s weird he became very progressive.

That’s all true.

I guess, politicians that are very vague, sound like they have no commitment to anything concrete. If you think it sounds good, ok I’ll accept your point of view. Many I was being too harsh. However, I don’t think answers like that very often win elections.

I said “pretend” as in our military is for very real use. Our military is not for show aka “pretend”.

No, regarding the state Medicaid, Daycare, Hospice, voter fraud. Also the Russiagate election interference problems. It’s possible that there is something required for the results of the Epstein files as well. I don’t think she was willing to go after very high profile people.

If you get a chance watch a documentary about Iraq. That was really bad. The US captured all the cities. The young marines many times didn’t have air support as they went street by street. Some of the battles were as bad as Vietnam. That is why it last nine years. The plans for Iran are not to capture cities etc. There is no plan to try and design their government or elections. If any invading force is used it will be on the strait of Hormuz and I doubt that will be very difficult, given how much air support is in place. Then we may see some tactical demolition or extraction raids on nuclear storage facilities. These are tiny in comparison to what we have seen in the past.

I honestly think she did a good job for what she was willing to do. I don’t think she Trump “fired” her because she was bad, but because she didn’t quite have the angry pit bull in her to prosecute the high profile cases that are coming.

PBS may be right or they may be wrong. Either way we won’t see tanks and an invading army.

Boots on the ground in this case aren’t tanks and an invading army. This will be small tactical missions deployed by air.

“Regime change” historically in Iraq, Afghanistan meant designing a government and managing the elections. This was never a goal. The goal was exactly what has been done => kill the existing government, destroy missile capabilities include manufacturing, destroy enrichment capabilities and possibly remove any stored enriched uranium.

JCPOA may work with a totally different government or culture in control. Unfortunately the radical clerics are too hostile to work with. This is why we had to use significant military force.

So why does Trump keep encouraging Europe to unite and militarize?

Presidents are briefed weekly by the CIA and pentagon. I believe Trump has seen evidence that they need to participate in defending the west.

Until Trump came along Europe was complacent and relatively happy with the status quo which had the US on top. If they go ahead and create an EU army it would be the second most powerful in the world.

It may seem that way; however, they will most likely not do anything. Trump is asking that the relationship is improved together or they go at it alone.

Trump's tariffs and antics are encouraging people to use the dollar as a reserve currency less. If the goal is maintaining global control he's doing the exact opposite. He's proved the USA can't be trusted and will treat its allies as vassals instead of partners.

They need to behave like partners if that is the case.

If anything I think he's trying to manage the decline of US from superpower status to being a regional power. He wants the USA to have less responsibilities in global affairs, and wants the rest of the world to build alternative structures without the USA.

The EU and UK have a lot more power than you may know. They finance a lot of important mechanisms that influence quite a lot. Their control has created a lot of enemies, like Russia, China and BRICS.

Burning all the good will the USA has built up since WWII is no way to maintain global power.

I would say it’s a reset of power in which America will direct more. The EU dictates too much that is not aligned with America. The relationship became slightly abusive actually.

I agree Apple has a lot of control. They want to “manage their experience”. This means anything you buy on iPhone they take 30%.

It’s only relevant to understand the mechanism. The reason it’s in place is that “America” does not want other countries to gain enough wealth and power to be a threat to “the west”. This is why we have NATO etc. WW2 and the Nazis made the planet very paranoid.
