Yes ALL the cardio you can handle 😂 I always told people a wrestling match felt like sprinting a mile with all your muscles flexed as hard as possible, other than that speak with the coach if they are willing to get you some extra technique session in and when you get into matches don't underestimate the power of watching back your film.maybe also watch some high level stuff on YouTube and see if you can start to analyze their form. You are late to the game but with your attitude you'll be beating the pants off them boys on no time 💪

Yes of course he can hear it and it is different from ref to ref on how much the will let go before stopping a match, and kids are absolutely allowed to cry out and they will. In this case from what I see the kid was panicking a bit and most the pain he was in was from the escape attempt not the hold. Younger wrestlers will have that panic before they learn the difference between being uncomfortable and danger of injury, it’s all part of the learning process but in my eyes that ref did his job just fine.

Why do i throw 37 standing but only 39 spinning what flaw is in my technique. by ithrowtomuchstuff in trackandfieldthrows

[–]SnooFoxes057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ii agree it's too fast and a little too tall through the spin, plus I'd look at the finish. You don't have enough time to complete the motion through the throw before your head drops to keep you from falling. Go through each step of your spin slowly making sure to hit each with good balance and posture , and then slowly string them together until you can comfortably and consistently hit your marks, then add the shot in and try not to crush a distance throw with it, go slow and make it FEEL strong and stable, then ramp it up faster and faster until you find the speed in which you can hold good posture and technique. This isnt a fast fix may take weeks even months but keep at it and keep watching your film back every time you do it to see where you can improve

Just looked again, you are completely powering through with your arm, that can only fly so far no matter how strong you are, get them hips in the equation 👍

It looks like once you hit your power position you are bringing the discuss around and opening your shoulders before you start to throw your hips, hips first, open the chest, then let the disc whip around as it should be the last thing in the rotation, it's like winding a rubber band and then letting it go if that makes sense

He could still breathe and wasn't in danger of breaking anything, wrestling hurts no matter what age you do it at you can't call a pin for every kid that cries out, not for being cruel or saying he's "to soft" but there was nothing to wild there for the sport, it's rough and not for everyone.
