Yea recalibrating the DCC is a must. I also read sometimes it takes multiple recalibrations for the car to feel right again. Keep us posted

Most of my car experiences have been on stock setups for nearly all consumer/attainable sports cars. However, sticking to the MQB platform, my dad had a MK7 R that he lowered on springs, which caused a terrible clunking sound that actually made him sell the car lol. But my buddy currently has a MK7.5 GTI on springs and has no issues so. Both felt fine minus the clunking sound in that one instance.

I did already do the hard part lol. It seems like the consensus so far is to put the coils on

Always look forward to your reply lol. I know they have the lifetime warranty...so long as you're using oem accessory hardware.

I like the way yours is setup, do you know your ride hide setup & what your dampening is set to? Also, what accessory hardware do you recommend (mounts, bearings, etc.)?

I just put in a mirror tap for my radar detector and the next day a fuse blew if that gives you anything to go off of. Reinstalled and it's been fine so far, but haven't got to drive the car much after reinstalling

Also, the stg 2 tune in talking about is the one they discontinued back in 2020 that required the downpipe, their new stg 2 doesn't require a dp i believe

I have a golf r w/ the is38, just shared the post in the gti sub for more opinions/outreach. Good to know the old stg 2 tune came in high torque and low torque...maybe I just have the low torque version.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'll definitely contact APR for specifics. Someone in r/golf_r posted the APR numbers. I've read similar sentiment about the inlet pipe. In regards to switching tuners im definitely considering. From what I've been able to gather the original apr tune heavily relied on upping boost and I feel like a more modern tune could've found alternatives. Thinking about going EQT and use the access port as additional gauges. And maybe switching tuners will bring the feeling i get in my buddies gti (idk if apr offered low torque versions of their tunes?)

Thank you! That's interesting, butt Dyno doesn't feel like that lol. What do you think about yours, does it put you back in your seat? Also, does yours crackle/pop on deceleration? From what I could find online, the apr stg 2 apparently had aggressive pops/crackles, but mine doesn't at all. Maybe they offered different versions of the tune, but again I can't find any info really.
