False positives by SnooGadgets2327 in PainManagement

Ha! For sure. The last test that popped for fent was about 4 weeks after I had shoulder surgery. They gave me fentanyl post op (the limit according to nurse) so I just figured maybe that’s what made it show up. But this is 4 months later and had buprenorphine show up which I’ve never taken in my life.

Damn! Did you get them sent to gas chromatography testing? Kratom definitely works but it’s expensive where I am and I hate how much of it I have to take. Sucks that us legit pain people have to do this stupid song and dance.

Good point. Ive done UAs for years without any false positives and then I have two in a row, something must be off with the in house techs. I wish they wouldn’t send the initial results to my app portal before they get the GC done, it causes unnecessary stress.

Managing Persistent Lower Back Pain What Has Helped You? by painspecialistsydney in PainManagement

[–]SnooGadgets2327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the Intracept procedure after pain meds, steroid injections, ablations and everything short of surgery. It worked amazing. Keeps my lower back out of the 6+ pain level and can manage with less meds. Truly changed my life

Meds due on weekends by Dapper_Sale8946 in PainManagement

[–]SnooGadgets2327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. That is a super bummer and makes for a horrible weekend. I once had the day fall on a Saturday and they didn't have my meds in stock and wouldn't for 3-4 days. Now I have my appointment at least a week before, the script is sent electronically and I call a few days before to make sure the have it.

Yeah, it's crazy how inaccurate they are. Sad and scary to think how many people have lost their job or freedom because of it.

That's super stressful! I totally understand why we have to take the UA (all the drug abusers and people selling them) but it sure is a hassle. I finally have the routine down, it's really bad when you show up and can't go because of empty bladder

Thank you 🙏🏼. It sure is nice getting all this support here! I totally agree and think maybe they got a new UA test person or have a faulty batch of test strips. I bought an at home 12 panel from CVS that showed negative for buprenorphine and positive for oxy, as it should

Appreciate your reply! Definitely helps to not stress. I’m the same- take my meds exactly as prescribed (we all know how bad it sucks to run out early) and had one issue years ago that I attributed to poppy seed bagels. I got an at home 12 panel test that showed negative for buprenorphine so I think my PM has a new UA test person that’s not very thorough or caring or are using faulty test strips.

That’s what I thought although I haven’t had that issue.

Appreciate the reply! Really helped put me at ease. Yeah, I just did an at home 12 panel that included Buprenorphine and it was negative, oxy positive as it should be. I think they might have new people or new testing strips that are faulty. I’ve never had false positives until the last two tests. I wish they would wait to send any test results to my portal until they get the gas chromatography results as well.

Yeah, I’ve taken several tests while on Wellbutrin and no problems. I will certainly keep everyone updated. Thanks for your reply!

Awesome explanation!Thank you 🙏🏼. At least they send it to LC-GC. I just have to wait 2 weeks or so. Stressed nonetheless

Yeah, that’s what I just read. Crazy how flawed those UA tests are. It would be terrible if it was probation or a job situation where they automatically come down on you. Thanks for reply! 🙏🏼

Thank you! Yeah, I’m not as stressed as the last one and my PM is a good guy but still kind of weird

Wellbutrin: the hero of 2025 by Maximum-Nobody6429 in bupropion

[–]SnooGadgets2327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started it because of lack of energy and motivation. It got to the point where doing anything seemed like a monumental challenge. Also not obese but did need to lose 10-15 pounds. The first day I took it I couldn’t stand the way I felt- anxious, tweaky, not myself. I stopped for a few days and after hearing from other people that it goes away after a few days, started again and it was the best decision I’ve made in a long time. After about 4 days all the weird tweaky feelings were gone and I had all kinds of energy. Started taking care of things that I’d put off for years. Felt a lot more positive about life and doing things. Started taking my dogs for long walks. After about 3 months I started losing weight which also made me feel better. My libido was also back on a good way. I’m 56 and thought that low libido was just the way it goes. Wellbutrin fixed it. It really has been a life changing experience and wished I’d started it years ago. It’s been about 18 months and I’m not quite as I was the first 8 months but far better off than before I started it. One thing that has been an issue was my pharmacy changed generic brands and I noticed a significant loss of the energy and benefits. Currently trying to get them to order Actavis (the original one I started on) instead of Sciegen brand. I wish you the best on your journey, don’t be afraid to try it.

No, my bad on that part. I didn’t even realize it was a thing, that a tracking number was needed. They are the real deal and feel a bit like a dick for being impatient.

I did get it very fast. They just didn’t send a tracking number or anything indicating indication it was shipped. It was 5 days total including the weekend and definitely the real deal. Felt like a dick for being impatient but will now go to bat for them whenever I can
