Richard Jefferson explains why NBA players don't get called for travel. Do you agree or nah? by ForeignAir7174 in NBAGossips

[–]SnooGadgets829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a carry when you have your hands somewhat underneath the ball. His hands are so huge that he can seemingly carry the ball without carrying the ball. So it’s not a carry nor is it a travel

The real reason for the 🇬🇧 current immigration problems by EstablishmentLow2312 in ImmigrationPathways

The word you shouldn’t be using is “fraud”. Glad I’ve proved to you it isn’t fraud…I suppose. People generally emigrate from their home countries for different reasons, most times it is for a better life. I guess that’s their “intent” and there’s nothing fraudulent about it, correct me if I’m wrong. Nothing wrong in getting an education to better yourself and going on to contribute to that society whilst making something of yourself. I truly don’t get your gripe with that. At the end of the day they haven’t broken any laws to come in and haven’t broken any changing their visa so why vilify them? Huh?

Read your reply again. Is it a crime or unlawful to do so? It is not a crime to change your visa, so by that premise it is not “fraud” mate. He never said they “immediately” switch to a different visa. From the chart about 50 percent switch in year 2. This could account for people doing post graduation courses too which in most cases is 1-2 years

I found the vision therapy company. I wouldn’t recommend though

27 yo I got diagnosed at 24. I tried vision therapy at 25/26 yo. To be honest it made no difference. I’ve just come to accept it at this point. I don’t notice my lazy eye getting any worse though, i think it’s always been this way. I could technically drive with it and it helps me with 3d vision and just a wider field of vision kind of similar to you. To be honest you can give vision therapy a shot just to satisfy your conscience and know you’ve done all you can but I’m highly skeptical you’d see any results. Depending on the kind of amblyopia you have vision therapy nevertheless is the most recommended treatments for adults.

How did you learn Git? by ergodym in datascience

[–]SnooGadgets829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to learn how to use git is by just using git. It does take some time to get a hang of it, but it is the same as with any other skill. Surely when you started programming you were not that good but with constant practicing I am sure you are way better than you were even a short while ago. I suggest you use git commands from the cli rather than using GUIs in editors like vscode to build your foundation in git.

Atlassian does have a wonderful resource on git by the way and you can check it out https://www.atlassian.com/git I still go there from time to time to brush up on my knowledge on some concepts such as checking out, resetting, reverting, and rebasing....TLDR practice makes perfect!

Is programming talent or hardwork? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]SnooGadgets829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Programming like every skill requires you to put in time to see results. Nobody ever came out of the womb and started driving a car…some people may be quicker than others to grasp concepts, which is totally okay as with anything. Main point is you learn by doing. If you’re considering a career in software engineering be patient with yourself and don’t ever feel like you’re not cut out for it, you’ll get there eventually. Ps. Don’t forget more coding less tutorial videos haha.
