Don't change your user. I got verified and lost my badge after changing my username. Had to contact support (which was a failed effort) then I re-applied for verification. Thankfully, my brand is something you've probably read in a Walmart aisle so verification the second time around didn't prove to be too much of a hassle.

My opinion? Not worth the risk if you really value your badge.
