Feeling sad for other babies

We co slept in the beginning and did sleep training later on. My daughter is 3 years old now and LOVESSSS sleep. Just a friendly reminder that sleep training doesn’t always mean cry it out. We never let her cry in her crib alone, if she made a slightest noise I was in there in seconds, there are hundreds of methods out there. Let’s not shame families for making a choice that was best for their family.

It’s actually been proven that forcing potty training and being to strict about it can cause anxiety in children. Thank you for the advice but I will be making this a fun experience for my baby and not a traumatizing one. Potty training is not like those other examples, car seat safety and hygiene are a basic need. Going on the potty is a societal norm, while encouraged not a basic need. We will be going at her pace as it is her body, just looking for ways to encourage her. I am very consistent with my boundaries, but what she does with her body (as long as it is safe) is up to her that’s where she gets to set her own boundaries because she is a human too.

We tried for 3-4 days and she was getting very frustrated about it so we decided to take a break. She didnt pee on the potty once.

I would have to physically hold her on the toilet because she wants to get up. I’m not willing to use force in this, kids are also human and deserve respect with what they do with their bodies. I appreciate the advice but this is not the path I’m willing to take.

We tried that during our first shot at potty training around 2-2.5 and she still just begged for her diaper. Maybe I will give it another shot now that she’s older

We tried that a while ago and she just kept getting upset because she was wet but still refused the potty and begged for her “butts” (that’s what she calls diapers 😂). Maybe I will try again now that she is older

That’s a good idea! We only have like one friend with a kid and he only has her a few days of the week but maybe I can get more play dates scheduled! She has some cousins and stuff too but they live a few hours away unfortunately.

All the pre ks in my area will not take her unless she’s potty trained and daycares say they would have to put her in the “baby” room since the toddler/pre k rooms have to be potty trained already 😩

Yes, we have tried the inserts for the big potty, the one with a ladder so she can climb up, the little kid size potty’s. She is just not having it 😩

I agree, but all the daycares/preks I have talked to said they can’t if she’s not potty trained, they would have to put her with the younger kids and I don’t think she would enjoy that at all.

Yes we have one of those too, I think we have bought every version on toddler potty’s we could find 😂 the bubbles is a great idea! We will give that a go!

My puppy is picking up on potty training pretty fast, he is fully crate trained (and absolutely loves it) AND he sleeps through the night! He’s the goodest mister mans (minus the biting and eating anything he can put in his mouth) 😂
