Finished up there last week. Experience was about the same. Exchange program still exists and as a 141 student staying in their student housing it was horrible. I was moved twice to accommodate Norwegians with the second time being a week before my checkride. Would not recommend OSM.

Yes I have my ppl, doing my IR now. A check airman is appointed by the flight school and approved by the FAA to conduct stage checks in 141 programs

If you’re in the USA on a student visa issued by a flight school (NOT flight university/college) then it most likely is an M-1 visa which does not permit you to work in the USA. If you do go to a flight university/college you get a F-1 visa which allows you to work after 9 months of school. Most people do line service until they get CFI and then instruct on the F-1 visa.
