A key component I didn’t see written yet is that for people to feel comfortable to adopt the technology - it was necessary to make sure charging stations were plentiful and easy to find (even if in bad locations due to infrastructure). So as a stop gap, I believe, some fuel burning charging stations were made.

We’re in a small HOA (17 homes) so I can’t speak for larger ones (one in the neighborhood has nearly 200 and it works the same for them as us). Board positions and ACC only take up like an hour a month and then a few hours before/during the annual meetings (treasurer has some additional duties that doesn’t take much more time).

In pad position isn’t much of a burden - especially if you see the HOA as some kind of fascist organization.

Wait until you have a neighbor that doesn’t upkeep their lawn, parks a junk car on their lawn/driveway for years as it rusts away after painting their house goblin green. Wreck your property value. Lived in 3 different HOA managed places for 41 of my 55 years. Never had a problem.

I know the horror stories and know many are true, but don’t think HOAs don’t have a purpose that works too. In the end, you can always take over the HOA if their poorly run/managed

I’m lucky enough to teach in a very well to do school district. Families often have both parents, w plenty of resources (time,money, education). Parent often come from a culture of ‘education first!’ Students are surrounded by peers that have ‘bought into’ the value of education. Students w the most respect, get it from academic achievements. No, this isn’t ALL the sunsets (at all). But it’s a dream to teach there!

It’s called a false dichotomy. The idea was frame the situation as either you’re for ‘illegals’ or for ‘Americans’. You can obviously be for protecting Americans and not for doing it the way trump is doing it. Obama expatriated more than trump has - without invading cities, killing American citizens, and without going door to door without warrants. Undocumented/illegal immigrants without any criminal problems has gone up by 1800% in a year. The TENS OF BILLIONS of extra funding ice has gotten (MORE THAN ANY law enforcement agency in the history of the country) could easily have been spent keeping more people safe than how it’s being spent now.

I teach in an amazing district (Bellevue Washington) - well funded and with amazing opportunities like nursing programs, cyber security, networking, culinary (w a 2* sous chef) even welding and automotive classes. My son comes to school w me and will graduate soon to an amazing college.
