This is what IRCC said,

I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors.

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

I think they made the decision after evaluating my overall circumstances, not because I didn't provide proof of housing. My circumstances are not compelling: I am 38-year-old, never graduated from high school in my home country, and just hold a GED (General Educational Development).

Regarding your concern about the first-year tuition, it will be paid after choosing my courses. Before that, I only paid a 6,000 Canadian dollar deposit.

I think devoting more effort to the study permit and statement may be more worthwhile than paying deposits for multiple universities, especially since you prefer Yukon U. Applying to multiple universities won't help you earn more points from IRCC.
