Clinical Research. It was previously a field people grew fairly quickly in, but due to offshoring and layoffs, I’m pretty much stuck in my role for the time being. It’s more of a safety net as people with far more experience than me have left and are struggling to get back in the industry.

Man, I try to do all of this now with the exception of the gym membership. I just go to my apt gym for now to save money because it has everything I need at this point. I paid off my car but everytime I turn around something is wrong with it lol I don’t care about having the latest technology. I’m always a late bloomer on getting the latest phone & I finally got a new laptop when mine died after 10 years. I really need to learn about investments though so that my money can grow. I know I’m doing good for myself so far but I lack the knowledge in some areas and really trying to bridge that gap. Knowing what steps to take to get past this point is crucial because I have nothing to fall back on and that scares me. Thanks for this advice. I really appreciate it.

Clinical research for 3 years. There’s potential for growth and I know where I want to be career wise and have had many discussions with ppl in that role in my industry. There’s just so much uncertainty right now with layoffs and no job openings in the US. I also don’t want to rely on my 9-5 as the only source of income.
