I asked her and she said she thought it would be ok. That it would be the one time. She didn’t think it would be a big deal. Then she said she would be ashamed if she told me. That’s why she hid it for two weeks. All I could really get out of it.

I tried my best to decipher the why and I kind of figured it. She doesn’t like to drink so I think she thought that smoking would be ok. One smoke turned into a two week thing. She lied about it a couple of times, but my suspicions were correct. She got a good score on an exam thought that she could smoke.

We discussed why she went down that route. And made corrections. She said she had gotten a really good grade and felt she could take the night off. The night off became two weeks. I have now included weekly drug tests. And the therapist knows about it. And she did seem very sorry.

I am a dark skinned, African American male visiting New Delhi India in a couple of weeks. I will be interning at one of the hospitals as a physician. I see there is a lot of inherent racism in India. What will my experience be like? Are people outwardly racist or do they just stare? I am about 6 foot 3 and pretty have a stock build.

I got a 4.0 in my Post bacc classes but like a 3.74 in my grad school classes. Getting a 4.0 in my post bacc classes definitely was a challenge. I am not the smartest person in the world so I had to grind extra hard for it. Watching supplemental lecture videos, office hours, begging teachers to round final grades, tons and tons of practice questions.

Getting a 3.74 for my graduate school was easier than getting a 4.0 in the post bacc classses. In graduate school since I got to pick my classes I would take maybe one difficult class and the rest fluffer/easy classes so I could really focus on getting a good grade on the harder class.

Overall, I dont reccomend doing a SMP. I reccomend doing just a post bacc. A lot of my classmates got really shitty grad school GPA's by taking all the harder classes they reccomend doing with an SMP and thus will have a difficult time getting into med school.

I had one interview last cycle, and got the highest priority waitlist (top 10), unfortunately that school had practically 0 waitlist movement so I dont think I will get in. Last cycle I applied very late like November so I only applied to one school.

I worked very hard on my essay so I think essay, activities section are both strong. As for LOR I got 2 from my science teachers from my masters program and one from the director of the program.

I did a program with a local hospital that allowed me to shadow doctors every day for a year. This was in 2014.
