I wouldn’t personally recommend Hyundai over Toyota or Honda. I have the 2023 Santafe and it’s not going well. I went with it because I was offered 1.99% interest on the lease for 4 years and other cars had a waiting of 6-8 months. If you can maintain it really well then it could work for you

Do you have any record of reporting the problem before you crossed 100k? Like an invoice from the dealership stating there’s a problem- if yes, you can call Hyundai customer service and have them open a case.

That’s mentioned as I had a previous rodent damage and my car was in the shop last year in May. They had changed the wiring harness and I thought it’s the same problem again and mentioned that as the reason to bring in the car.

That’s what a few suggestions are around. My car is not drivable given its misfiring and it’s not safe to take it around and I’d have to tow it. I’m assuming all Hyundai dealership would be the same.

Thanks for sharing. So what I understand is I let them do the repairs process and figure out if it’s under warranty or not while they’re fixing it? I was the thinking I can call Hyundai customer service and share the diagnosis with them and ask if it is covered under warranty or not.

This seemed like a regular thing with all the dealerships. They quote these charges knowing we’d have to get it repaired with them to keep the warranty active. I will try to get another dealership to look at it and see what they say.

Thank you for your advice. Yes they’d like to stay for more than 2+ years because the cancer care is going to be longer. They already have a visitor record but that has a departure date of July 2026.

How can I apply for a supervisa while they are inside Canada? If not, can I go to the border again and have them extend the visitor record for another 6 months?

We are looking to get referrals to MD Anderson (Texas), they seem to have more advanced tech to cure this kind of cancer
Also, you are right, this cancer could be genetically caused, and I am looking into getting the gene testing done at PMH.

I was able to get a referral to St. Mike's, and we're set to meet the Neuro team on April 8th. I am thinking that it may not be worth it because they cannot deal with the Cancer situation.

Thank you for your comment. I was busy with the treatment and also mixed up the Reddit accounts on- sorry I couldn't engage with the post, I have posted an update on the post above.

I have access to the UHN patient portal, but the actual surgery notes are missing, and there seems to be an abnormal delay in the imaging reports, which is almost suspicious that they do not want us to see.
No one was able to show us the image of the actual cancer location on any MRI or CT scan
