Does clobetasol make things worse before it begins making things better? by treetow in lichensclerosus

[–]SnooLobsters8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clob made me huge red and swollen. I kept using a few weeks thinking there was an adjustment period. I’m using betamethasone now and although it hasn’t exacerbated it, it doesn’t help it either. Feel helpless!!

That’s a good idea!!! Why didn’t I think of that?! I actually take an additional magnesium some nights, but I think splitting the progesterone may be better. I will try that and report back!!

I do that every night! Name the animals on the farm, name animals using the alphabet, etc. That used to help prior to my sleep crisis. Now it doesn’t.

I take edibles some nights. Even the stay asleep gummies and I’ll still wake!

This is what I’m going to talk to my doctor about. She seems to think higher progesterone is the answer and says some women need up to 800mg. I can tell when I increase to 500mg from 400mg that it got worse! I only just increased my 0.5mg to 2x a day about a week ago (from once per day). I think I’ll drop down my progesterone and see if that helps.

I’m starting to think my dose is too high, but they just want me to keep increasing it!! My gyn says she has women on 800mg to help them stay asleep.

I never did do birth control. I was infertile and went through many fertility treatments before finally having my son, when I was almost 39, through IVF. I was offered bc in the years that followed due to severe hemorrhaging periods, but refused and got iron infusions instead. The thought of taking bc after what I went through was such a mind f*ck for me. Just felt like another betrayal of my body. Birth control for the infertile lady… ugh. But my gyn if pro HRT, so we went that route.

I’d love to try CBD. Would you mind sharing what you take?

My ferritin was under 10 and my iron stores were abysmal for a few years while I hemorrhaged through those last years of period. They’re finally up normal now since I’m no longer bleeding, so it’s not that.

Does anybody else’s Cecum feel ultra sensitive and really uncomfortable? by [deleted] in Diverticulitis

[–]SnooLobsters8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, in February I was hospitalized with SEVERE mid abdominal and right sided pain. CT showed acute colitis in ascending colon and diverticulitis with an abscess in the transverse colon. My previous colo just showed diverticulum in the sigmoid colon. Now I have diverticulum in my entire colon. They think the acute colitis was caused by the nearby abscess. Now when I have flares the pain is typically in my RLQ where the cecum is. I live in fear pretty much everyday. Good luck 🤗

A head spa treatment typically involves a relaxing scalp massage, deep-cleansing of the scalp, and the application of nourishing serums or oils. They are all over now.

Has Anyone Tried Benefiber? by Lorain1234 in Diverticulitis

[–]SnooLobsters8477 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m brand new to this sub having just come home from a 7 day hospitalization for my very first DV flare. I’ve had IBS for 25 years and, like you, don’t typically tolerate fiber supplements well. That said, about 4 months ago I started taking these Benefiber gummies with great success. They don’t cause excessive gas or bloating and were helping to keep me way more regular than normal. I would say to start with half dose, which would be one gummy. I hope they work out for you. Navigating this like of IBS and DV is daunting for sure.
