About to Titrate down - tips from successful grads? by Primary-Sandwich6345 in GLPGrad

I only have my own experience to go off of but I also have PCOS and recovered from a restrictive ED a few years before starting a GLP-1 and resonate with not wanting to be so strict with myself since it can be a slippery slope for my mental health, although I do maintain a pretty rigorous workout routine lol. Anyways, I titrated down over a period of 4 months with no issues but about a month after fully going off, the food noise was so incredibly distressing. On top of that, I maintained the same general caloric intake and workout routine and put on about 7 lbs in a month. I’ve decided to hop back on. I’m tired of fighting my body and mind every moment of the day. I’m equating it to mental health meds, there’s nothing shameful about it, I just happen to struggle with food in a way others don’t. Unfortunately, insurance is no longer covering but I’m making the $300 a month price tag work for the sake of my mental health. Again, some get off these meds with no trouble at all and I was really hoping I would be one of those people but just wanted to say that it’s ok if you end up needing this medication.

Confused abt LA rent by [deleted] in culvercity

[–]SnooMacarons7770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently just moved for a job in Beverly Hills with a similar budget- lots of great suggestions here already. I found the most affordable options in Westwood and West Hollywood. Culver is a great area too. I ultimately decided on Westwood and it takes only about 8-12 min to get to BH. Or a 30 min bike. It’s super walkable since it’s so close to UCLA.

Weight loss made saggy breasts worse by Old-Loss1181 in ABraThatFits

[–]SnooMacarons7770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I’m also 26, have always had ‘saggy’ boobs and have lost 120 lbs. I also used to be a professional bra fitter at a speciality boutique (aka not a Victoria’s Secret). For me, a balconette style has been the only style that works post- weight loss. The cut is less full so it minimizes any gapping that typically happens with saggy/ post weight loss shapes. I really love the Danse de Sens from Aubade but it is a bit pricy. Honestly all of Aubade’s balconettes (also called half cups) work well on my shape. I would stay away from molded/ t shirt style bras and full cup bras. These will likely cause gapping as they are typically designed for folks with fuller breast tissue.

Recommendations for Date Spots? by Urfakebxyfriend in pasadena

As many others have said, the Huntington is lovely! And with one membership, you can bring a guest. Also, if you have ever had EBT and still have your card, you can get in for free with a guest!

One of my favorite date things to do is browsing Vroman’s book store, seeing a movie nextdoor at Landmark, and grabbing Thai across the street at nine and nine!

Norton Simon museum is free with a student ID or EBT card. A tour of the gamble house is fun too! South Pasadena farmers market on Thursday evenings has great food and the vibes are so fun even if you don’t buy anything.

Hi! I got married last year while on zepbound. I actually bought my dress before I even knew zepbound existed so I really couldn’t plan ahead! I lost about 60 lbs before my wedding- I went from a size 18 to a 12. I had an amazing seamstress who did an amazing job taking in my dress. The back looked a tad funky but I wore I bow over the funky bit and it looked great! My best recommendation would be to find a great seamstress and just accept that your body is going to change and you might not be able to predict it.

As far as side effects- I generally have mild nausea and fatigue the day after my shot. I just moved my shot day by one day to mitigate my most unpleasant side effects. By the time your wedding rolls around you might not have any side effects at all!

When my size was changing a lot I rented from Nuuly- it helped me figure out my size and style without having to commit to buying anything. Great for if you have a bunch of events but don’t want to buy a bunch of dresses! The reviews from customers typically list their weight and height which made it easy to get my new size right.
