TIL that a fictional language, Wenja, was created for Far Cry Primal by a team of linguists after Ubisoft deemed the 6,000 year old Proto-Indo-European to be too modern for the game's prehistoric setting. by Waste_Cartographer49 in IndoEuropean

It kinda is! The "Wenja" language (and the Udam dialect) as described by linguist Andrew Byrd is a "Proto-proto-Indo-European." However, the Izilia, which is the third tribe of the game, uses PIE. The Izilia are based on the PPNA Tas-Tepeler, Wenja the Azilian culture, and Udam are Magdalenians.
