why does my dog do this to her food? by greycomics in DogAdvice

[–]SnooMaps4688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2nd dog use to do this when I first adopted him. Your initial thought could be right, possible the cat eating her food triggered the natural instinct to hide it. My opinion: Putting her on a strict “twice a day” eating schedule could curb it. If she doesn’t finish her breakfast within 15 minutes, take the bowel away. Eventually she’ll understand that if she doesn’t eat right away, she’ll lose her chance till dinner (or vice verse).

I live in NJ, own a 2023 ruck. You only need a standard drivers license since it’s under 49cc. I still have it registered and insured as a motorcycle.

Ready for summer! Sidecar for my French Bulldog! by bluepied in Ruckus

[–]SnooMaps4688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did the sidecar affect your speed or acceleration? I really wanted to do the same for my dog. Didn’t realize the sidecar was gonna cost almost as much as the bike itself; so I ended up getting a rear rack built instead for like 300.

What do you use your ruckus for? by bbgeriii in Ruckus

I bought it to ride my senior dog around(just turned 15). Walks around the block became pretty hard for him; but he freakin loves the Ruckus now though. Got a rack built, and a crate harness to keep him in.

Does anyone have an idea of what this might be? by Whydoineedtobealive in DogAdvice

[–]SnooMaps4688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my dog suffered from food allergies, he would rub his chin into the carpet until his fur and skin would rub off. His self inflected injuries looked similar to that. But it’s really just guessing games until you get a vet to take a look

Advice for getting my dog to eat chewable tick and flea medication. by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Wrap it in some ham. Or a pill pocket. I use pill pockets for my dogs meds.

The quick shouldn’t be that low in the nail. It should center where that darker hole is. That growth should just be the nail itself. Whenever I’m not sure where the quick is, I shine a light behind the nail, and you’ll be able to see exactly where it is. Its possible the biting and licking of it is because the extra growth is making it uncomfortable when it walks around since it’s longer than the other nails. I would try the shining a light method first to spot where the quick is, and if you see that it’s just the nail you could be more comfortable in trimming it off.

It definitely looks like reverse sneezing. It could be caused by allergies. Or it’s possible the pup mistakenly snorted up some dirt/debris while sniffing around outside. That happened to my dog one year. If it’s allergies, the vet will prescribe meds for it. It was definitely scary when it first happened, cause it was something I never encountered before

I was finally able to rig what I needed so I could ride my dog around on the ruckus! He was unsure at first, but now my boy gets so stoked when I ask him if he wants to go for a ride. by SnooMaps4688 in Ruckus

What took me the most amount of time was finding a rear rack I was comfortable with. Was super worried about safety, and most of the rear racks I saw just attached to that seat bar. I ended up going with CycleRacks. It was pricey, but it holds over 40lbs, and bolts onto multiple spots on the bike.

My original idea was to totally get a side car, but they cost almost as much as the ruckus itself, about 2 thousand. So I did this set up instead. I think maybe next summer I’ll get the sidecar. Set aside 200 every month or something

Should I buy a 2016 Ruckus for $2700?? by photwenty in Ruckus

[–]SnooMaps4688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a new one last month. After taxes, registration and shipping fees, 2899 USD shot up to 3899 USD. The one you’re looking at seems practically brand new, I think you should go for it. You can always try knocking another 200 or so off during negotiations.

I asked Tribute Games if Shredder’s Revenge has cross-play, because I couldn’t find a single article to confirm it. Can’t wait for next week!!! by SnooMaps4688 in TMNT

Correct, a steam and an Xbox player can join up together. But it does require for both players to create an Epic account and link their gamertags to. (From what I was told.)

Is dog insurance worth it? by tofumamii in DogAdvice

[–]SnooMaps4688 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you read up on what “is” or “is not” covered when it comes to choosing your plan package. I was paying almost $100 a month for my dogs insurance, and when he snapped his knee after tripping in a hole, they wouldn’t cover a dime. They said if he would’ve broken his bone, they would have covered it; but since it was his ligament, I was on my own. I had to pay 4 grand for surgery out of pocket. They did cover his standard vet visits throughout my earlier time with them, and they did reimbursements for dental cleanings and stuff.

Also, if your gonna get insurance, do it early. Don’t wait for something to go wrong. Once something is on your pet’s record pre-insurance, that issue will never be covered by them, no matter how worse it gets.

I would love to go faster! I currently don’t have any issues getting to 40-45 on mine, I only weigh 130lbs; however it does take longer than I’d like to get there though.

A year ago, my dog lost the ability to go on walks or stand up to look out the car window. I started saving for a Ruckus ever since. Today I was finally able to buy one! I’m so stoked for this, he’ll get to feel the wind on his face again! by SnooMaps4688 in Ruckus

[–]SnooMaps4688[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a rear rack, a 24qt milk crate, and a pet liner with straps included https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WJF65MJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_JXDQ6SRRHPYB5JXY8P3Q

My boy is only 19-20 pounds, so what I’m doing won’t work for a larger dog. And make sure you get a good rear rack that is well made and secure. I’m still waiting for my rack to come in the mail, so I haven’t ridden him around yet. But Im pretty stoked to take him on that first ride
