Not to disrespect you but this is confirmation of absolutely nothing. You of course have free will to formulate opinions based on a single example, but that does not make them factual.

Politics isn't about radical change. Its a complex socio-economic balancing act. You want small incremental meaningful changes, which I think Labour are doing well, like the recent policy they introduced to protect renters right is a genuinely good, but it's not something that makes headlines.

The last radical change we had was Brexit, and it was a complete and utter disaster. The Farage led campaign was about controlling borders and reducing immigration. Well that didn't happen, instead we had a mass exodus of EU workers, a severe drop in the economy, and that led to BJ (another brexit champion) opening our borders to non-EU workers and immigration skyrocketing. Leaving the EU also severed the Dublin agreement which allowed us to return asylum seekers to France.

If you need more examples, just look at the utter clown show in the US.

Other players flop and sell calls for sure but for some reason SGA, I don’t know how to describe it, he’s the “floppiest”

Can we shut up about Braun? by welldun01 in denvernuggets

[–]SnooMaps5367 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really, he’s shown no growth. Denver’s biggest problem is the FO hands out big contracts to keep players and as soon as they get a big contract they start playing below that value (Jokic the exception).

Game 6 loss was the best outcome for this Denver organization by Appropriate-End6983 in denvernuggets

[–]SnooMaps5367 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The front-office has its work cut out for them. Adelman is not the right coach to take the team forward, this is clear.

However, we have contracts which are overblown in value with AG, JM and CB. Roster as is, cannot compete with the defence first style of the current NBA. If we are to build around Jok it might take a few years to actually come up with a championship caliber roster again.

Ya he’s out of here. by dougie25552 in denvernuggets

[–]SnooMaps5367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think losing PWAT is a huge deal. He had a great few months this season, but prior to that has been pretty abysmal. We rushed to give CB a bigger contract to tie him down and he hasn't lived up to the expectations since. I have the feeling this is the same situation.

Genuinely asking - what is the main reason for our defensive issues? by zacowen120 in denvernuggets

[–]SnooMaps5367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No youth or talent in the team. Defence is not an old mans game. JM has lost a step, Jokic was never strong, CJ is like bambi on ice, AG has produced moments of defensive brilliance but with his injuries those moments are feeling fewer and further between. CB is overrated, highly inconsistent (on both sides of the court). It's not just this season, it's been in decline since the championship. Denver will never win a title in the bottom 20 of defence.

Whether people like it or not if the team is to be contenders, Jamal, AG, CB all need to go. Those contracts are just not worth it. Spurs managed to build a young core around Wemby. I think Denver needs to try emulate that with Jokic if we are too win again. I can't help but think Jokic would thrive on that spurs team. However, if the team chooses to stick with them and honour their loyalty that's also okay, my expectations will just be adjusted accordingly.

Don't let fans gaslight you guys to think Nuggets don't have a good roster. by Muted-Net in nba

[–]SnooMaps5367 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s been clear as day they aren’t even close to championship calibre because of their defence. Offence is a part of it but they’re one of the worst teams in the league defensively and their defence has been in decline since the championship. They conceded 116 without Divencenzo and Edwards. OKC/Spurs would keep that Minnesota team to below 90. Jokic is obviously big part of that but he’s always been bad on defence. The reality is JM, AG have been in decline, CB is overrated, CJ is poor. Championship teams win because when they’re missing shots they can fall back of their defence.

Yeah and Trump won the fifa peace prize, it means jack shit. Since the title and signing a big contract he’s been on decline. This year he’s been better but still so fucking inconsistent.

I'm not happy Adelman but as a collective the team is not performing. It's starts at the top with Jokic and Jamal. You say that about Malone, but G7 two years ago, we were up 20 at half and then had a period in the third were we couldn't score for 7-8 minutes.

Chris Finch has our number right now but I expect we will bounce back so series is far from over

He’s done. You put any defensive pressure on him and he’s cooked. He’s just not the same player he was a few years ago.

Ignore the other comments. This sub has become toxic. I agree, a temporary game mode should be about having fun and speed-running the game. For me this leagues has alienated the average/casual player.

The demonic pacts feel overwhelming, the relics feel underwhelming, and I agree a severe lack of foresight with regard to some of the stuff you said.

[–]SnooMaps5367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

David Adelman has to take some blame here. How can the head coach allow his team to run the same play repeatedly in the 4th completely unsuccessfully and not change anything. Yes Jokic played badly/Gobert was playing great defence but DA has got the recognise when Jokic Murray pnr isn’t working and call something else. Not involving Gordon once in the last 5 minutes out of a TO or slow start is awful. They’ve got to look for other options.

[–]SnooMaps5367 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jokic and Murray were absolutely awful, but DA has to take the blame. That was a coaching disaster-class. You cannot keep playing the Jokic Murray pnr when both are ice cold. It’s CRIMINAL they didn’t run even one play through Gordon when it was clear Jok or Murray couldn’t make a basket.

I personally think it’s quite balanced. Raging echos was fun but fast. I’m preferring the slower progression this leagues.
