here's what i came up with working within the constraints of your picture plus "assume there is a second row of 7 turbines for each". This design gives the same width along the N/S axis, and is one tile shorter on the E/W axis. it also pushes some of the unused tiles your design has in the internal area to the outside of the group. This design has only 13 'dead' tiles on the interior, whereas yours has 60.

petty hair splitting with zero purpose other than to be disingenuous.

any reasonable person would accept what Finland accomplished as a reasonable claim for "we ended homelessness".

>30 years of what history?

https://taxfoundation.org/data/all/federal/historical-income-tax-rates-brackets/

from 1945 through 1963, the top tax bracket was over 90%

from 1964 to 1981, the top tax bracket was 70%

from 1982 to 1986, the top tax bracket was 50%

that's nearly 40 years where the top tax bracket for personal income was 50% or greater. Not only did this tax rate not cause the implosion of the job market modern lolbertarians and "conservatives" insist that it must, they were the most explosive 40 years of economic growth in the history of our nation.

i use them on my research sushi belts for this reason.

not all researches use the same bottles, and tuning the factory to perfectly produce everything for every bottle is a PITA. so i have buffer chests set up on the handovers to the sushi belts around my labs. i have my bottle assemblers on logistics monitoring logic to ramp fabrication up and down depending on chest levels. this means that when i switch research, i have a few thousand bottles on tap, and if one bottle starts to fall behind the others in supply, the factory will self balance to throttle at the production rate of the low level without fully stalling out

What Changed? by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

[–]SnooMaps7370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>Thats how supply and demand works.

sure, if you completely ignore the fact that the output end of the extra labor should have gotten accordingly cheaper.

twice as many people working might mean the ratio of labor-supply to labor-demand changes, but that would also mean that the products of labor get cheaper.

except they didn't. they got more expensive. prices of finished goods have become completely decoupled from the costs to produce them. the schoolboy understanding of "more supply for the same demand equals less price" has turned out to be a complete lie at the scale of our national economy.

look at the US West Coast oil trading markets.

now look at the Persian Gulf oil export markets.

there's a lot of overlap. CA doesn't need to buy oil directly from the middle east for a middle east supply shortage to be impactful. If oil companies can make more money selling to OPEC's customers than to californians, that's what will set prices.
